Shade nodded as she walked, keeping her hand in his. It was not because she felt the need for his protectiveness, but rather to demonstrate that the crowds did neither scare her, nor did she take their insults to heart. The stupidity of crowds, she thought, always been like this and always will be. Had anyone decided to really attack them or had Gambit not been as good a fighter, she was fairly certain that noone would have helped them.
She nodded and gave him a sidewards glance. "Your place?" she asked.

"Aw, no, not again..." Gambit made a sour face.

Shade couldn´t help but crook a smile. There was so much going through her head right now that it became difficult for her to make out what it was she wanted. Get somewhere safe, see her friends were all right - well, there wasn´t really anything she could do about it right now - or, the alternative, act out the anger and frustration that had built up in the bar and after.
"Okay," she therefore said. "then let´s go somewhere where I can vent some steam." The crowd, even though they had mostly seen a calm outer appearance of Shade, had wound her up. Some punching bag would be good right now to release her anger and fear.

"Good." Shade said with a grim smile. She tossed a glance across her shoulder, seeing that there were still some people having their faces turned towards them. The rest of the crowd was now quickly dissolving, most people returning inside, probably to gossip about dangerous mutants and the latest news. Adjusting the helmet, Shade mounted the bike.

... The bike brought them to a boxing club Gambit knew. He took his helmet off and shook his head back to get rid of the bangs falling onto his face. "Ya're welcome t' kick Gambit's ass, chere," he told Shade, turning to look at her. If she wished to let out some steam, this was the safest way for her, probably. That and sex.

Shade took off the helmet and had a look around, her lips curling into a grin. She didn´t know a thing about boxing, but it would be fun to try. That, and after what had been going on in the last hour, it sounded like a good idea. She gave Gambit a look, raising an eyebrow at him. She felt getting rid of her anger and fear would be the best thing right now, still, it would cost her some effort to act it out on him. After all, he was not the one who had caused her to feel like this, but rather, had appeared as her only back up.
"I´ll promise to try and not beat you to pulp." she said, studying her fingernails in feigned cocky confidence.

"Ya sure know how t' turn a guy on," Gambit winked, then got off the bike and walked towards the club.

Shade chuckled, her mood improving despite the worries that were occupying her thoughts. "Oh, I so do." she said as they walked towards the doors. Coming to think of it, they really should have come up with something like this earlier. When they walked in, Shade caught herself scanning the area for people that would start to yell insults at him. Really, she thought, stop that, Shade.

Rented outfits, gloves, headgear and mouthpieces in case Shade decided to mean business, - and they were ready to go. The ring was empty, and there were very few people around, and not a single woman except for Shade. A pity, Gambit thought with a smirk; not everyday he got to show up half-naked at a public place. He handed Shade her pair of gloves. "Be my guest."

Good thing there weren´t too many people around Shade thought, looking around the ring. Just some men standing here and there which meant noone would really pay attention to the fact that she had no good idea about how to do some decent boxing. But then again, she wasn´t here to win a contest in style.
She smirked at Gambit and took the gloves, testing them as she put them on. She had never worn boxing gloves and punched her hands together a few times to get a feel for them. "Gladly" she said, tossing him a cheshire cat grin, before she did a step back and raised her left hand. Not to punch but to protect her face. Easy rules she remembered from years back and she found she still remembered a little of it all. She raised the other hand as well and started to move in little steps, trying to make out a good moment for her first blow. There was no need to worry for Gambit. He knew how to deal with things, she was no serious competition to him when it came to fighting.

Gambit bounced lightly to gain some balance. Wound up as they both were after the incident at the bar, there was no interest in any warming up, nor did he bother to teach her how to fight. If she wanted to use him as a punching bag, she was more than welcome to do so, especially since he was more fun and more challenging than a punching bag. "Come on," he grinned, seeing her prepare, and raised his arms as well, "give it your best shot."

Shade cowered slightly, starting to bounce lightly on her feet, her hands still raised. He was taller and heavier than her which was a huge advantage for him and her lightness which would have helped against someone else maybe was of little help here, since his agility and reflexes surpassed hers by far. She concentrated, her grin vanishing as she watched his movements. He very likely wouldn´t be the first to try and aim a punch, especially since he had offered her to be her punching bag and not the other way round.
Shade did a light hop to the side and, trying to get beyond Gambit´s defence, swung her right arm in a swift upwards blow. No perfect one, but there was some force behind it.

Gambit responded with a light punch on her forearm to swing her blow to the side. He had to commensurate his movements carefully, she was very lightweight and her bones were less prepared for pressure of blows than his were. "Dat was de best?" he asked, smirking.

Shade narrowed her eyes in playful agitation. She had expected nothing different from that, his reflexes were extremely fast and she knew that. But maybe that was the wrong way to approach things - if she directly thought she wouldn´t succeed in delivering a blow, well, then she wouldn´t. "Oh, you just wait." she gave back mirroring his smirk, never lowering her defenses before, without a warning, she faked a punch with her right fist again, before swiftly swapping her right hand to defence and delivering a blow with her left, heavier this time, aiming for Gambit´s shoulder. She was right-handed and he knew that of course, so she hoped the little bluff would come somewhat unexpected.
