Morph and Brady's Apartment

[Morph]

"I'm sorry I didn't call this one time, all right?" Kevin spread his arms slightly, not sure what else he could say about this whole thing. "Are you trying to intimidate me with this thing or what?"

[boomer]

Tabitha looked to her hand and then back at him. "Actually, I was planning on blowing you up," she said and gently threw it at him. It exploding, silently, halfway, before reaching him. She then turned on her heal and walked towards the kitchen.

[Morph]

Kevin ducked to avoid the ball, but when he looked up again, he realized that he was still unharmed. Still, he got a good scare for a few moments. He rubbed his eyes. He felt too tired to be provoked, and it probably wouldn't have been a good idea to start a heated argument now, anyway. Slowly, he turned around and followed Tabitha to the kitchen. "That wasn't nice..." he muttered absently, without much reproach.

[boomer]

"Yeah, well, you not calling wasn't very nice, either," she said with a small sigh, going to the sink to clean out her cup.

((I'm going to sleep now))

[Morph]

"I've got in engraved into my brain already," Kevin said. "So you can stop growling now. What can I do to make it up to you?"

(( sleep well ))

[boomer]

She shrugged as she set the cup in the dishwasher and then turned around to look at him. "You don't have to make it up to me, I'm just the babysitter."

[Morph]

"Maybe not, if you say so," Kevin said, leaning against the door frame. "But I think I would feel better if I did."

[boomer]

Tabitha crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, what do you want to do to make it up to me, then?"

[Morph]

"I don't know!" Kevin said, almost objecting even to her question. "I have finished a magazine issue today, I'm blank, I'm totally out of ideas, sorry if I can't answer simple questions." For the sake of more persuasiveness, he banged his head against the door frame lightly.

[boomer]

"Okay..." Tabitha said, slowly. "Maybe you should just go to sleep-"

[Morph]

"Yeah, I guess," Kevin didn't argue with that. He thought how difficult it felt every now and then, coming back home and finding someone there, but not the one to talk to about the hard day he'd had... It conflicted in his mind sometimes. With the magazine's issue completed, it was only more obvious to him now how much he missed Brady in his life and how much he wanted her to be by his side, especially now.

Tabitha nodded and then headed towards the living room to gather her things together, not knowing what was going through his mind or how much he was missing his wife.

[Morph]

Morph turned so that he was now leaning with his back against the door frame. "I will probably have more free time in the upcoming weeks," he said, turning his head towards Tabitha. "So I can sit with Mark and you can take some time off if you want to. A week or maybe even more."

[boomer]

Tabitha glanced over at him as she put her jacket on. "Alright," she nodded slowly and grabbed her bag and black motorcycle helmet that laid in the corner. It would be nice to have a few days off, but she would probably miss Mark and end up dropping by once or twice.

[Morph]

Kevin walked over to see her to the door. "The next time I'm finishing a magazine, I'll make sure to call," he said, knowing it was a lame attempt at a joke even as it left his mouth, but he decided he looked like a complete failure in Tabitha's eyes already, anyway, so he probably couldn't make it any worse for himself.
