"Yeah." Shade replied and nodded. The events of the afternoon had shaken her, woken her from her careless life in a way that had come as quite a shock. This year had been rather eventful so far, not without a number of life threatening situations but a sentinel chasing her in public was just too odd. Right now, she was glad that Gambit was there to say things like what he had just said and in a way help her make decisions about what to do next. It was easier to sort the chaos in her mind like that, knowing him by her side. She emptied her coke.

Gambit stood up, leaving the money on the table. The sum he left was probably too generous, but he was beginning to appreciate places where two mutants, him being a rather obvious one, could have their tea together in peace and discuss their powers or whatever without being yelled or glared at.
"Let's go," he offered his hand to Shade.

Shade got up as well, taking his hand. She had not brought anything with her, just her jacket, as she had kept her money and cell phone in the pockets of her jeans. A usual thing for her to do as she was sometimes feeling too casual for a handbag. Today, that had been a good decision. She did a glance around but to her relief did not notice any weird glances at them. Stop getting paranoid, Shadey, she told herself, then gave Gambit´s hand a little squeeze to tell him how much she appreciated his calming presence. "Let´s go." she said as well before they walked towards the exit and back onto the street.

Gambit passed her the helmet, covertly watching her movements while she put it on and got on the bike. She had said she had felt drained before, and that had been noticeable by how she had held her glass of coke while drinking from it; if that was still the case, and he would notice it in the way her hands moved, she wouldn't be able to hold behind him on the bike.
However, she seemed more or less okay now; whether it was sugar she had just eaten, or time that had passed, or even his presence, he didn't know, nor did it matter at the moment. He got on the bike as well and they drove off in the direction of Salem Center.
