Brady playfully rolled her eyes and then looked over at the clock on the night stand and her brow furrowed a little, "It's 10:30..."

"Okay," Morph said. He merely wanted to orient himself in what time of day it was; had it been some two hours earlier, he would have considered a dinner, but right now he decided he didn't care. "Any plans for the next five minutes or so?" he asked.

Brady nodded, "Yes, I plan on taking a shower..." She said and looked down at herself, "Why?"

"I was planning on falling asleep, now that you've killed me so successfully," Morph explained.

Brady laughed and then sat up, "You sleep, then," She told him and and stood up. "I am going to go take a shower and then I might just join you." She said and left for the bathroom to take a shower and clean off.

Morph smiled as she said that; he tried keeping awake while she was in the shower, but eventually sleep took him over.

Brady walked back into the room some twenty minutes later, a towel wrapped around her and her hair dry from finally drying it, she smiled as she saw Kevin asleep. And she quietly walked back over to the bed and got in, the towel still around her, not bothering to get into her pajamas. She pulled the covers up a little more over them and scooted closer to him, getting comfortable and trying not to wake him. She closed her eyes after a moment and sleep took over her.

... It was around three in the morning when Morph got up. He sat on the edge of the bed for a moment and then stood up, walking over to the balcony door. Opening it, he walked outside. Early morning October air was rather cold, and he immediately morphed a layer of thin black clothes over himself that covered him from neck to ankles. He spent another moment seemingly looking over the empty night street and then swiftly jumped onto the balcony railing and straightened up, spreading his shoulders.
The upper part of his body remorphed again, making a pair of huge white wings extend for several feet on each side. Feathers trembled against the small wind, and he kept standing there. Sleeping.

Brady slowly awoke, moving her hand over the area where Kevin had been, she lifted her head slightly, "Kevin?..." She said and then sat up and looked around the room. She slowly got out of the bed and went over and grabbed her robe, pulling it on and discarding the towel, she walked out to the balcony. Her eyes wide and a smile forming on her lips.

Morph didn't hear her coming out to the balcony; still balancing on the railing, he stood there, and his wings were making slow, tentative movements, as if testing the air.

Brady looked at his wings in awe and amazement, "Beautiful..." She whispered.

As if in response to her words that Kevin couldn't hear, anyway, his wings turned into leather-like, with bones protruding under the layer of skin. Then into micaceous, transparent dragon-fly wings. It seemed Morph had made it his task for the night to find the best way to fly and was trying out anything he could think of.

Brady just kept looking at the wings as they changed, still smiling. She found them fascinating. After a moment she walked up closer to him, getting a little scared that he might fall, wings or no wings, "Kevin?..."

Waking up at the sound of her voice, Morph focussed his eyes and, realizing where he was, immediately lost his balance and, waved his hands and flapping wings frantically, tried to sway his body back towards the balcony, not onto the other side.

Brady leaped forward and grabbed a hold of one of his arms, trying to pull him back, not wanting him to fall forward.
