Shade started soaping herself and looked up at him with a little grin. "Rather ´not want to´ than ´couldn´t´" she said. "I´ll start missing you soon enough." She leant forward and gave him a peck on the chest.

"Even though I'm flattered, I still think ya gotta have some sort of immunity against missin' me," Gambit said, washing the soap off himself. "I tend t' get AWOL every now an' den."

Shade held her head under the warm water, letting it run over her face. Gambit was right in a way, because the last good week before he had returned had not been too easy. But then again Shade, when she really cared for someone, tended to miss that person. It was what came with being a harmony lover and someone who got emotional about someone more easily hthan sombody like Gambit did. It was part of her being, changing too much there would have felt unlike herself.
"It´s not like I´m sitting in some corner moping," she said while still washing. "but the general ´missing´ thing can´t really be switched off. Least not for me." She wiped the water out of her face and blinked looking at him. "How should one develop such an immunity?" she asked.

"No idea," Gambit said, then leaned to give her a peck on the cheek before stepping out of the shower.

Shade smiled at the kiss and stepped closer to the water finishing to soap herself, then let the water wash the shower gel away. Gambit had never been too comfortable with the idea of her missing him and by now she had figured that that was part of why he had never admitted aloud that he had missed her in the times he had been away. She was pretty sure that he did miss her at times, but guessed he did not want to admit it because it felt like being narrowed down for him. It was a little strange that there were far more meaningful things he had admitted to her these days, but an ´I missed you´ had never been among those things. Therefore she figured he felt uncomfortable about such a thought and tehrefore didn´t like her to delve too far into it either.
She toweled her hair and body and stepped out of the shower, returning to the bedroom to find her clothes - tehre was hardly any clean clothes left she noticed.

(( that's some analysis.... )) Gambit dried himself off pretty quickly and started to get dressed. "Can ya do one thing for me?" he asked.

Last time he had asked something like this he had asked her to stay away from Hellfire, Shade remembered. "Sure", she said, putting on her unerwear. "What is it?"

"Stay invisible until you're out of de city," Gambit said. "I don' want any trouble find ya."

Shade nodded. "I will." she said. It was easy for her to get around a city unseen, to jump onto busses, to hide even in crowds without raising suspition by people bumping into her invisible self. She felt secure with her powers, she always had for a long time and the only occasion where this confidence had been put into question had been in the Danger Room when she had been facing a sentinel.

"Good girl," Gambit pulled her to him for a brief kiss and let her go again, grabbing his shirt to put it on.

Shade responded to the kiss, then put on her jeans. Whenever he told her things like that, it was usually a good thing to follow his warnings. It didn´t trouble her yet. He was most likely referring to whoever was trailing him these days and they would have no chance following her invisibly. She put on her shirt and walked over to the tray to snatch half a croissant to eat while looking for her things.

While she was finishing with her things, Gambit went to the shower and ran a piece of cloth over any surfaces they might have touched. There would be no fingerprints for anybody to trace them down.

Shade followed him with her eyes while she stored her laundry. She just had the shopping bags she had brought back from the city, no duffle bag or something. She walked round the bed to get her cell phone from the night stand, noticing what Gambit was doing. She didn´t comment on it. She knew he didn´t like to leave traces and his carefullness told her clearly once more that even though he was not frightened of it, there was someone following him. He would deal with it, she had no doubt of that. When she was finished, she sat on the bed again crossing her legs, careful to not touch anything but the bedsheets again to avoid extra work.

Gambit left the shower, noticing Shade was simply sitting on the bed doing nothing. Either she picked up on what he was doing, or she simply had nothing to do, but he was grateful for a chance to finish. Without saying a word of explanation, he went around the room, destroying the rest of fingerprints - he figured it was pretty obvious what he was doing.

The flower Gambit had given her earlier had been lying on the nightstand next to her cellphone. Shade couldn´t remember who of them had put it there, nor when and she picked it in a way that let her fingers not come into contact with the wooden surface and placed it next to her on the bed where her bag already was. Then she let her gaze wander across the room, checking whether she had left anything somewhere and needed to pick it up before Gambit destroyed the fingerprints. She found nothing and therefore got up from the bed to get her sneakers. Unlike usually where she would sit down on a chair to put them on, she returned on the bed and did so, because Gambit was already done with the chair.
