As Gambit had his back on her, he did not see what Shade was doing but as she was concentrating on her powers anyways, she decided to keep up her experimenting to see how long she could do it and when it would get her tired. She turned her head to the side, concentrating on her left arm in particular to form snake lines in a spyral around it. It cost most of her attention and it was slow, but it worked. She let the skin on her arm appear again, then had another idea and looked down at her stomach. This would be more difficult as it meant even finer tunings. With quite some effort she started to ´write´ something with her powers that should eventually read "Psychological weapon" on her stomach but the y was giving her troubles and when she reached the first o, half of the s faded again.

Gambit turned around to wash his back and noticed Shade was still standing in the doorframe. She looked different, though, like something was painted on her. He wiped water away from his eyes and took a better look. What he had first taken for paint were darker areas of skin - partly invisible, no doubt. Something like "Psycho" could be made out on her stomach, and he chuckled.
"Looks nice," he commented, chuckling again.

Shade grinned like a kid looking up at him, before she tried to continue and managed a shaky ´logi..´ to the already visible - or rather - invisible letters. It was as if she had to concentrate on every bit of the skin around the letters separately as she had to consciously decide what to vanish and what not to and it was getting too complicated. "I should start on easier words first." she snickered.

"A nice option for a tattoo," Gambit said. "Difficult?" he asked.

"I practised the last few days and it´s getting easier." Shade said, losening her grip on her powers. "but it´s like concentrating on many places at once. When I vanish completely it´s easy, when I just let my arm vanish it´s easy too, but like this it needs some concentration, like... holding a number of little stones or something at exactly the right spot or something."

It didn't sound like anything that couldn't be handled with time and practice. "Ya'll manage," Gambit said encouragingly. He rinsed his mouth and turned the water off.

Shade gave him a smile, slowly doodling an easy smiley face consisting of two dots for eyes and a somewhat shaky upward curved line on her stomach, before letting it fade again. She needed to stop this now, fun as it was as she had been somewhat distracted by what she was doing and had barely noticed it had tugged on her strengths a little more than she would have expected. She was tired. Not just because it was late already and because of sex but also because she had not had much sleep the previous night. She blinked a few times, the thought of sleep causing very faint nausea. Drop it, Shadey, she told herself. There sure won´t be more nightmares.

Gambit grabbed a towel from the rack, wrapping it loosely around his back and hips to absorb most of the water. "Got any place t' be tomorrow?" he asked Shade when he walked past her.

Shade shook her head slowly. There were no plans for tomorrow, she was glad Gambit was back and would not mind in the least if he wanted to suggest something. "No." she said. "Nothing from sleeping in a little. I´m tired as hell."

"Bon," Gambit nodded. "Den let's get some sleep an' figure out de rest tomorrow." He knew his mind would be overflown with concerns and ideas, but it couldn't hurt to try to fall asleep.
He dried his legs and arms off with the towel, finally reaching the bed.

Shade walked towards the bed, feeling exhausted. "Yeah." she said. "sounds good to me." The thought of sleep felt comforting, especially now that Gambit was back which gave her a childlike feeling of comfort. Still, that didn´t change much about the fact that she still very well knew what had robbed her sleep the other night and that the thoughts about that, although no longer with the same intensity, had merely been pushed back, but not banished from her mind.
She crawled onto the bed and under the blanket, lifting it for Gambit to join her.

Gambit grinned and dove in under the blanket, falling onto the bed. "Ouch," he groaned, realizing the fall didn't go so well for his neck that still hurt sometimes. Then he laughed.

Shade rolled over onto her side, snuggling against Gambit. His laugh made her grin for no reason. "You should´ve acted like that really hurt." she chuckled. "Because that would´ve gotten my pity and I would have wanted to look for a way to make the pain more bearable. Well, too bad."

"Mon dieu," Gambit exclaimed, "so Remy will now get a million kisses one kiss less... Quelle tragedie!"

Shade propped her head on her elbow and stuck out her tongue at him. "I´m shocked about so little devastation at the prospect of one kiss less." she said.
