"Come on now, I'd call you, but seeing as I'm the woman, that's not really ladylike," Iris said fiddling with the front of Lance's shirt to strengthen it against the rain. "You can go up against an army of thugs, but you can't make a phonecall just asking for me? Not really knight turned rogue if you ask me," she said playfully before ruffling his hair and keeping it from getting wet.

"Sorry," Lance grinned. "I'll do my best. I'll sneak up on you near the gate or something with a cloak around my shoulders. Us Zorros are not too good with calling to mansions." He realized he had closed the umbrella too early, but since the rain was abating somewhat, Iris would probably not get soaked until her train arrived. Besides, he recalled her powers helped a bit in that respect. He then followed an impulse and pulled her closer by her waist.

Iris froze as Lance pulled her closer as they waited for the train, a warm crept up her body to her face. She couldn't say if she liked or disliked having him so close, his hands on her waist. She was unsure what to do, yes she could consider him a friend, yet she had just met him and this was a tad bold. Then again it seemed like everything that Lance did was particularly bold. What was a simple old fashioned girl to do.
"You know that wouldn't work, Xavier would probably be aware of your presence a mile away," she said getting an odd feeling that Lance wasn't afraid of a phone call but instead of the mansion itself. She couldn't help but wonder why, it wasn't a bad place. "Besides, I'm not climbing the gate to meet you outside the grounds."

"What about the challenge? the excitement?" Lance exclaimed, totally skipping the part about Xavier. "No pain, no gain, all this?"

"Good girls don't meet bad boys outside the gates," Iris said her chin jutting out a little in firmness, "Besides, climbing a fence in a dress, a very bad idea. Hilarious, for you of course, but I'd rather keep my dignity for a first date."
Her eyes peered off into the distance, noting the lights of the train nearing. "Besides, think to yourself if anything, 'is she worth the hassel?'

"There's precious little that can make you look undignified in my eyes," Lance smirked. He had a vast range of weird interests and a very generous understanding of what's socially acceptable. Noticing Iris looking towards the train, he glanced that way, too, then back at her. "Well, I guess I gotta let you go," he said, but then, figuring that it could very well be the last time when they saw each other at all, quickly leaned in to steal a kiss from her.

Iris' eyes widened as Lance was so bold as to kiss her. Her hand flew up to her mouth for a moment before she pursed her lips and playfully hit Lance with her craftbag. "Cheeky aren't you?" she asked before smiling and and laughing a little. "You're lucky I have more passive powers, another woman might have caught your hair on fire."
The train stopped and the door opened and Iris stepped in and took hold of the handrail. "Don't get into too much trouble," she told him.

"Always gotta take my chances," Lance was grinning wide. He handed her the umbrella. "Same goes to you. I can't always be around to help you!"

"And I'll say it again, I can handle myself, but you're help wa appeciated," Iris said as she gave Lance a small wave as the doors shut and the train started down the tracks.

Lance waved at her as the train sped away, and started walking home, an amused smile playing on his lips.
