"Actually, no, you're not, and yeah, I should, but my mother raised me right," she said, a comment that was half her usual sarcasm and half truth.

::Odin could hardly counter that, as he didn't know her mother and he wasn't in his usual analytical state of mind. He nodded, however, accepting the point.:: "She sounds like a good woman."

Genesis just nodded, not feeling like delving into that particular beehive. "So..." She held up one hand as if weighing scales. "Company, and no mugging, or..." She held up the other hand. "No company, and possibly cops. Pick one 'cause I'm not sitting here with my bike forever."

::Odin was unused to ultimatums, and he did not function well with that. Turning it on his head, he asked,:: "Do you want some coffee? If you do, walk back with me."

"You need it more then I do, but OK," she said, throwing up her hands in a miniature gesture of exasperation. Men.

::Odin was capable of grasping hospitality at the moment, and he nodded. Taking a deep breath, he brought his fingers up to his eyes beneath his glasses, rubbing lightly, and then be gestured in the direction of the nearest subway entrance.:: "I can help get your bike down the stairs." ::That was not a guarantee, but he could make the attempt.::

"Yeah, no. You'll just break it." It was lightweight, like many street bikes. She hefted it onto one shoulder and steadied it with both hands.

::Her attitude was uncalled for, but Odin held his tongue. Walking - slowly to maintain his balance - toward the subway entrance, he began fishing through his pocket for his Metro card.::

She carried her bike easily, used to doing so when it was easier to take the subway to various places and then bike the rest of the way then it was just to bike the whole thing. She balanced her bike with one hand, fished enough money for fare out of her pocket.

::From the corner of his eye, Odin saw her hand delve into her pocket. He was observant even when intoxicated; it simply took longer for him to process information than when sober.:: "Let me pay; you're the one going out of your way."

She wouldn't object, mostly because the money in her pocket was currently intended to pay for dinner. "All right," she said, this time without sarcasm.

::That was settled. Odin held on to the railing, carefully taking the stairs down to the entrance. When he reached the gate, he swiped himself through, and then held his card out to her, to let her use as well.::

She took the card, swiped it, and barely managed to get herself through with the bike.

::The platform was relatively empty, with only a few other people waiting for the subway. Odin moved to stand by the stairs, a few feet from the oncoming subway path.::

Genesis set her bike down while they waited. "You're pretty clear for drunk."
