::Odin whipped out his press pass and remained perfectly pleasant. He looked "normal," and he was aware of that; it could come in handy.:: "There are two men running around who like to beat up kids; I can pick them out if you like."

"Uh huh," he said, looking at the pass and then at them both skeptically, up and down. Typhoid didn't flinch but let Odin do the talking. "How long ago was this?" he continued, apparently opting to see what sort of story they had.

"A couple of minutes ago," ::Odin replied stoically, keeping eye contact with the officer.:: "They didn't look drunk, just nasty."

"Uh huh," the cop said again, unhelpfully. He turned to Typhoid, pointed a finger at her. "You were the one, uh....glowing...right?" His hesitation sounded like he was trying to find a politically correct word for it. It was Typhoid's turn to sigh inwardly; she had been hoping he'd been far enough away to not see who exactly had done that. And she had less patience and even less experience with law enforcement outside of Pietro. "Yes," she said, figuring that the truth was better. "It's part of my mutation." She didn't lose eye contact when she said it, but she did her best to take any threat out of the words, to make it seem benign. She didn't mind dusting it up with a cop, but Odin probably did. And it would decidedly cause trouble for Pietro in the long run.

"It's nothing harmful," ::Odin added, which was true enough. The glow didn't hurt anyone, and apart from some minor property damage, nobody had been hurt by her powers either. And he did mind getting arrested, because he needed to save those opportunities for the unavoidable; this was avoidable.:: "And the kids are safe now."

"Yeah, OK." Typhoid was further in front of him then Odin was; he physically took her shoulder and turned her around, pulling out handcuffs. "Then I'm taking her in."
Being manhandled was not in Typhoid's playbook for the night, and when the handcuffs came out she shot Odin a look that said her patience was gone. "What the hell for?" she demanded, aloud.
"Disturbing the peace," he said, fitting one cuff around one wrist. "And whatever else I feel like." Ty's jaw clenched; it took every ounce of self control she had not to lash out, and that showed.

::The moment that the officer had grabbed Typhoid, Odin surreptitiously turned on the recording device and snapped two pictures - without flash - with his camera. He would use that when lodging a complaint on her behalf and when calling up Mystique to help get her out of jail. And when campaigning to get the officer fired, because with Odin's memory, he now had the officer's badge number, as well as evidence of him saying that he would create false charges. He promised her,:: "I'll get you out."

"I can get out already," she pointed out, leaving Odin to interpret that in the way she meant it, which was by ashing a few things and running. It had a double meaning, as in she had people she could call, but that wasn't what she meant. The other cuff went around the other wrist, and Typhoid had a brief mental ranting moment involving the word "flatscans."

::Odin was aware of that, but since she was letting the cuffs go on, he had to assume that she was going to be confined. And he had a cynical view of the police, primarily because of the corruption in his city growing up, but he did not believe that they would give her a telephone call. That was why he would do it for her, and if the school got two calls today, so be it.::

At the moment, there were three primary people who were keeping her from putting any escape plan into motion, coupled with other problems. If she tried to escape and succeeded (she had little doubt she could), the nature of her powers would be evident. She was rather concerned that in an attempt to find her they would make a record of what they observed about her powers, and that might conceivably flag a few old but still unsolved cases involving a large amount of ash at a crime scene. Add to that the effects it would have on Xavier and Pietro, and Odin, who while not exactly a primary person in her life was still of concern to her, and it amounted to too many problems that could be caused for others by her escape. She took a breath, nodded at Odin as the cop walked her back in the direction of his vehicle. Odin would call. After recent events, she trusted his word.

::Call he would. Odin watched as Typhoid was led away with the police officer, unwilling to leave until they were out of public view, in case she needed a witness for any claims of brutality. Only when she had been put in the car and the officer began to drive away - and Odin had taken several more photographs and shut off his tape recorder, did he reach for his cellular phone. He would get Xavier's, possibly speak to the man himself, and then ask that someone alert her boyfriend to the matter. If this didn't get resolved quickly, every underground political group to which he had ties would know about it in less than twenty-four hours.::

Typhoid was booked, fingerprinted, and put in a holding cell in an hour long ordeal that took every ounce of her self control to handle, for reasons both psychological and power related. She wasn't granted a phone call, or even general conversation, and she wasn't about to start any talk with anyone who was in the cell with her. She sat with her back to the wall, doing something she hated to do: she was brooding. A million escape routes offered possibilities, and none were open to her right now.

::The mansion had received a telephone call from that bizarre friend of Rossignol's, alerting Uncle to the fact that she had been arrested on false charges. Uncle had wanted to discuss the matter logically, but Pietro had decided to apply muscle first, outraged by the fact that anyone would be harmed in this country for helping another person; he disgusted persecution with every ounce of himself. In a compromise, he had the bail money in his pocket, but he aimed to negotiate to get her out before a proper arraignment.
When he arrived at the holding area, he flashed his badge and then talked with the person on watch to be allowed to visit her. When reasonable discussion proved futile, his accent grew thicker and threats were made to report the officer responsible for the arrest. Finally, he was allowed to see her but was not given information on how to have her released.::

Most of Ty's senses were on hyper alert, simply from the confinement and the situation. As a result, she knew he was in the building, how close he was before he appeared in the holding area, just by heart beat. She wasn't working at tuning them out. She stood up from where she sat as she felt him approach, went to the bars so he could see when she was.

::Pietro found her in her holding cell and approached the bars with a deep frown etched in his features.:: "Are you hurt?"
