::Pietro turned his head to look at her, genuine confusion in his eyes. Perhaps he saw this in an entirely different light, and yet...:: "You would want her to be alone and unhappy?"

"No," she said, shaking her head, not seeing him turn to look at her. "But I'd be jealous and protective enough to turn angry with it, even if I never showed it."

::Pietro chose his words carefully in this situation. Rossignol's twin had died as a child, and thus she had never had the opportunity to reach emotional maturity with her twin by her side; it changed perspective. There was a time when Pietro had been jealous and protective, but he had grown and gained insight, as had Wanda.:: "I could do nothing but greet the man who made Wanda happy and treated her well with open arms. Wanda is the same."

Ty accepted that, if only because it did make sense. But she also couldn't help secret misgivings that, no matter what Pietro said, would not go away. "Maybe I just don't know her well enough."

::That was a possibility, as Wanda shared Pietro's abrasive exterior; however, she was more sensitive than he was, and he saw only that in her. He suggested,:: "The three of us could have an outing."

::After two years, Pietro still lacked a sense of humor for the most part, and jokes often went past him. Such was the case now, as he replied honestly,:: "I can't promise that; Wanda is a little more talkative than me."

"There's a difference between awkward conversation and being talkative," Ty pointed out. "I just don't like to talk just to fill silence."

::That Pietro could guarantee, as he knew his sister well.:: "Neither does Wanda."

Ty nodded, then remembered he couldn't see her without looking away from the road. "All right. We can try to do something together."

::Pietro changed lanes to pass a car that was moving too slowly for his taste. He replied,:: "Pick a place, and I will tell my Sister."

"OK." She went quiet, preferring to leave much of the conversation to dinner.

::Pietro went silent as well; he was the last man alive to unnecessarily prolong conversation. He continued the drive until they reached Manhattan, at which point he slowed considerably, as they found themselves caught in city traffic.::

Ty grimaced. "I was hoping to avoid the traffic."
