Typhoid got a slight smile on her face. "I like to think we're not the minority any more."

::Odin was in a unique position to make such judgments, and in some ways, that is what had brought him here tonight.:: "We still are, although one day, we won't be. I can guarantee that."

"I wonder," she said, sounding slightly wistful and then dismissing the emotion, "what they'll say when it comes to that? The humans, I mean. Sheer numbers don't always guarantee freedom." She'd been taking some history courses to fill out her schedule, and they were getting into apartheid in South Africa.

"They don't," ::The plight of women in many countries was evidence of that, and Odin often used it as an example.:: "But the day that our numbers overtake theirs is at least a century or two away."

"Anything is possible," ::Odin replied coyly. His immunities certainly gave him some enhancements, and his interest in science made him tend towards life prolongation. He was not a prophet, and was not going to speak in a matter-of-fact way about his potential lifespan.:: "Considering how often trouble finds me, I could die next week."

She chuckled. "If you keep finding yourself in the middle of riots, probably."

::Riots were only one of Odin's concerns, but there was no reason to delve into that. He nodded in agreement, before taking another sip of his water.:: "The price one pays for solidarity."

Just then, the cook signaled that orders were up, and Ty went to retrieve Odin's food. She set the potato skins down with a napkin and a side of sour cream. "Enjoy."

"I will," ::Odin replied, although he did not yet reach for one. They were undoubtedly hot, and his fingertips could only stand so much heat before his nerves would be impaired.:: "Would you like one?"

She smiled thanks but shook her head. "No eating while working. House rules."
