***********
::Supper had gone well enough, as the man's wife was polite, a sweet innocent woman who had not given two thoughts to giving a young man a place to stay off the street; she trusted her husband to keep out anyone who might be dangerous. It also fell to her husband to help the young man find a place to stay that was more permanent, as they could both relate as mutants.::

*Sorry didn't really know what to write)
Michael hadn't really known what to do at dinner considering it'd been a while since he sat down to one. It made him remember his family back in Seattle which also reminded him of the last time he spoke to them. Their exchange hadn't been pleasant. Stepping back into the present he finished eating, while rather shoveling the food into his mouth before asking to be excused. He might not be the same person he use to be but he still remembered some of his manners.

((OOC: It is quite all right; I am certainly in no rush.))
::Breakfast had gone better, as far as the man was concerned. There was somewhat less tension. It was Saturday and his wife ran errands during the day; he meanwhile had the day to himself to relax. After she left for a hair appointment and then to handle the rest of her errands, he found himself alone with Michael still in the kitchen. He asked,:: "Do you have any friends around here?"

Micheal was surprisingly keeping his power more under control then usual. There was one incident when he awoke but he luckily caught himself before he fried anything and just sent some sparks off him. Joining the couple for breakfast, he found it interesting the way they interacted like a normal couple, as equals.
When the wife left and he was left with the mutant he found himself somehow more at ease. Maybe that was because the man had helped him or because he knew what Michael had done so there was no worry of him finding out? He didn't know but whatever it was it felt unfamiliar.
The question made him think of Kylie but she was hardly a friend. All his friends were still in Seattle and they weren't really his friends anymore. "No, I don't" He was sitting at the table and he leaned back in the chair not so much that it would pick up the front chair legs but enough to be farther from the table.

::The man was thoughtful for a few minutes, saying nothing and drumming his fingers on the kitchen table. Finally, he ventured,:: "You don't like humans, do you?"

The question caught Michael a little off guard. He thought about it for a moment and the truth was, he liked humans. He had been one all of his life till this happened. It was mutants he didn't like."No, I don't like mutants" His life had been turned upside down and back wards from mutants and now he was one. Getting treated as one, unable to control this new power he had. He liked the power, liked how it made him feel, but it kind of scared him that he was losing his human side. Enjoying the feeling of using it on people, like he had in that fight.

::The man's expression hardened, before he made himself relax. He rose from his chair, and began to pace. He said nothing, at first, and then asked,:: "Are you a religious man?"

Michael realized he must of stuck a nerve the way the man was acting. He almosted wanted to smirk, almost. "No, I'm not" Though he had stayed at the church that Kirk Olsson had made he hadn't become very religious. Michael had learned some stuff and was starting to get into it but he'd never been religious before and when the church sort of broke up he had left it behind. Though if Kirk ever brought the church back he most likely would go back.

::The man had been raised by a religious family, which had lessened with age, although he and his wife still attended church. Still pacing, he remarked,:: "A running theme in the Bible involves the Lord cutting people down to size when they do something wrong."

"Which means?" He asked, his finger tips started to spark and he crossed his arms over his chest so the man wouldn't notice. It seemed to happen more when he started getting defensive.

::The man turned his head sharply to better face the younger man.:: "That you're supposed to learn a lesson from this. There is no sense hating what you are, and you are a mutant."

Michael looked at the man his eyebrows creased in anger. "There is when mutants ruined my life! Ever since I became one my thoughts have been different, I've been different" That wasn't exactly true. He had changed when he was a human, after Kylie had attacked him. Michael started to hate mutants and everything they intaled. He started down this path of destruction then, not that he'd admit it to himself.

"Self-hatred hasn't solved anything in the history of the world," ::The man told him. Everyone resented being a mutant at first, because society made it difficult to be proud. That didn't make it right, and it certainly didn't excuse hating other mutants for something you could not change about yourself.:: "You are a mutant, and you will be one until the end of time."""

Michael let out a sigh. "I know that" He needed to stay calm or he wouldn't be able to control himself. "I just don't like what I'm becoming. I enjoyed killing that guy yesterday. I liked the power." Michael lifted his hand showing the sparks coming off his fingertips. "It scares me, makes me want to have my old life back, but the power is so addicting" Michael closed his hand making the sparks go away as he looked at the other mutant.

::That was a more sympathetic issue, and the man turned around to fully face him.:: "I know a few people who could help you learn to handle your power."
