It looked like things were getting out of control. Three women involved in the fight right now by the looks of it and even though they seemed rather capable of defending themselves, it didn´t look like things couldn´t or wouldn´t turn ugly. Trying to shove his way through the crowd, Kurt felt a hard shove against the chest and found himself faced with a young man who might have been in his mid twenties. "Look where you´re stepping, idiot!" the stranger snarled, before he became aware of who he was talking to. Kurt reacted before the young man´s screamed "Freak!" could echo across the mob. His hat already lost to the crowd, he made out the area in front of him and found a free spot close to the young woman from Xavier´s, the only face he knew. A silent ´bamf´ and he was next to her, ignorng the squeals from some of the people nearby who gasped at his sudden disapearance. The red headed woman had just knocked down one of the attackers he guessed and had made her way over to a blonde woman. Kurt appeared behind them, in a distance of about two or three metres. "We should get out of here." he said, voice raised to be audible over the crowds and shouting that was getting louder and more outraged by the minute.

Ty shrugged at seeing Paige was about to change; most of the crowd knew what they were already and it was better she was protected. About to turn the gun to ash, she was caught by surprise by a black haired blur that went between she and Paige and the man holding the gun. "Sh!t..."
A sudden noise and smell of sulfur hit her senses, and she found a very blue and very tall person next to her. She knew him vaguely from the Institute; he'd been at Wanda's birthday party. "I agree. But the crowd's closed in." She pointed at the crowd before and after them.

Monet shoved the man away from her, knocking a few others down in the process. She turned back to Ty, the blond that was now apparently made of metal, and the blue man. When did my life turn into this? she thought to herself. "You alright?" She asked Ty. A woman tried to rush her from the side and Monet reached out her hand and caught her by the neck. The woman stopped short, making choking noises and Monet seemed not to pay her any attention as she waited for Ty's response.

Paige was surprised when someone was already there, an unfamiliar girl. She was hurting the human as well as bending the gun from the looks of it. Paige was rather surprised when someone was behind them. Turning her head around, Paige knew he looked familiar, but she couldn't put the name to the face. "We can't just leave 'em here to get hurt." Paige added. The girl was suddenly next to them, asking if Ty was alright. When she wrapped her hand around a girl's neck she saw the girl struggling. "Stop it! You're killin' her!" She yelled, not caring if the girl was human, as long as she did not try to kill them first, Paige would never try to kill someone.

"I'm fine, Monet, believe me. In the meantime, Paige is right. We can't just go." Ty looked around, a little lost in the chaos. She wasn't used to leading a team, but she'd try. "We need to try to hold a line between the mutants and the humans. Until the cops get here."

"I know." Kurt replied, looking around the crowd quickly. He raised his hands in defense, unable to avoid something that was thrown at him. He didn´t look down to see what it was, probably an empty bottle, since something smashed audible on the street. "But I can get us out, one by one, in a few seconds."
He saw the third woman, a dark haired one, grabbing someone from the crowd. "No!" he shouted. There was too much violence going on and he was starting to feel helpless. There had to be a way to stop this. And if not, to get out of this without anyone being harmed.

The woman struggling in Monet's hand had attacked her, and Monet felt she had a right to defend herself, but the others were right. She lifted the woman and tossed her into the air. She pushed her hair out of her face and turned back to the mass of hatred that faced them. She wasn't keen on being part of a team, and was mildly regretting getting involved.

"Ok, Kurt, you're our way out if things get more nasty then we can handle." She turned to Monet. "You in this, or you want out?" It wasn't her trying to be rude; Ty was well aware that Monet wasn't one of Xavier's students, nor a part of a team.

So far, this girl was not on Paige's good side, and she stared her down. Metal jaw tight before she glanced at Ty when she asked if the girl was in or out. She then turned her gaze back to the girl.

Monet cursed under her breath. "I'm in. I can get people out if it comes to that." A beer can came at Monet, but she heard and saw it coming and caught it mid-air, immediately hurling it back into the crowd.

"All right." Ty tried to get back from the midst of the crowd. "There's a definite no man's land between the two sides. We set up there, try to keep things from being flung. If people don't like that...well..." Ty's hand lit up in green energy. "Only one base rule, no one dies. If we end up in jail, I'd like to get out before next semester."

"Ja." Nightcrawler nodded briefly at Typhoid, nervousness making him fall back into his mother tongue, but the meaning of the word obvious from context anyways. He was facing the crowds now, slightly cowered to be able to react on attacks, his blue tail by now uncurled from under the parka without his noticing, making him even a more bizarre creature to look upon. Another bottle came flying at him, this one he manage to duck away from.
Those people were out on a fight, he could clearly see that. But he was not intent on fighting. Those were ordinary people and he had no intent on hurting them even though they did not seem to have equal barriers.

Monet could feel the girl's eyes on her and she turned a cold glare on her. "You got something to say?" She asked, her jaw clenched. She was torn between her burgeoning mutant identity and her growing irritation and independent nature.

::The chaos of the mob mentality had spread down the park, and into the surrounding neighborhood; problematic, considering the size of Central Park. Spectators had either fled or been dragged into the fight, protecting themselves or a neighbor. Outside of the park, some less than moral people had taken the opportunity to loot a few of the nearby businesses, already closed for the Sunday.
People in the surrounding neighborhoods had locked their doors, some had called the police, but they would be stretched out, trying to catch everyone and calm everyone down; time was of the essence, but there was a limit to what was possible.::

"Yes, you need to stop with the attitude." Paige said bitterly before adding, "Killing someone for kicks only makes things worse." She accused, eyes not leaving her.
