"How so?" Monet asked, surprising herself slightly at her level of interest.

Inwardly, Erik smiled. He had snagged her interest. "By bringing mutants who share my views together, known as the Brotherhood of Mutants, which is so biased in the media," He said sadly.

Monet had heard of The Brotherhood, and Magneto was right, they were made to look like true villains in the media. Though her curiosity was piqued, she found herself put off by the idea of working with any team or taking orders from someone. She also knew that the Brotherhood was often involved in the ubiquitous conflicts involving mutants, and she shied away from the idea of fighting, especially in public. Still, she found herself drawn to the idea, knowing that the situation was only getting worse and that she had already thrown her hat in the ring with her televised involvement in the riot. "And you guys do what? Sit around and play scrabble? Have mutant rights bake sales?" Her sarcasm was a thin mask, a last attempt at sounding detached.

Erik chuckled. "Not exactly," He told her, smiling. "We take what we want from those who wish to keep us down."

"That's vague in a very sinister kind of way," Monet said, her eyebrows raised.

"Only sinister to the media," Erik reassured her. "For example, when they were busy pushing that ridiculous Cure on us, we were sabotaging their Cure centers. They are the ones who believe we are in a war."

Monet had watched the news coverage of the so-called cure and the battle that had ensued with a detached interest. She nodded at his statement and signaled to the bartender that she was ready to pay her tab. "It's late." Monet declared with a sigh. "I'd better get home and get some rest." In her depressed state, Monet had taken to spending more time asleep than awake.

Erik nodded. "If you would like to get in contact with me, I live in Westchester," Erik said, smiling at her.

"Westchester is a big place." Monet said with a wry smile as she paid for her drinks. She pulled a calling card out of her bag and handed it to him. "So we can continue this conversation later." She explained. Magneto had given her a lot to think about.

He accepted her calling card with a nod. "Excellent. I hope to continue this wonderful conversation later, my Dear." With that, he let her take her leave.
