Doug looked over, and, indeed, their food had arrived. He wondered why his feet weren't sore. Normally, dancing for so long took a lot out of him. But then, maybe it was just the one he was dancing with. "Yeah," he murmured. "You want to go eat?" He was in no hurry to let her go, though he was hungry.

Kitty whined a little at the thought of letting him go, but she was hungry. She pulled back a little and nodded. "I'm hungry, and I have a feeling this isn't cheap." She said.

It wasn't, but he wouldn't tell her that. He'd have to find a job pretty soon to keep his savings account stocked for emergencies. But he didn't mind splurging, and he could probably sweet talk the owner later. Actually, the guy was pretty nice; big family man. After dark were couples hours at his little restaurant italiano, though. "Don't you worry about that," he said. "Remember? It's on me tonight." He smiled and led her quietly back to the table, once more pulling her seat out for her before sitting down.

Kitty sat down in front of the most appetizing dish she'd ever seen and put her napkin back on her lap. "This looks delicious." She said.

Doug was about to reply, but the waiter came by then, a bottle of champagne in his hands. "For the lovely couple," he smiled. "Compliments of Mr. Giordano," he added, before Doug could object. Compliments of the owner...Maybe he'd been a bit too smooth in his dealings with Alonzo Giordano.
"Grazi," Doug said, distracted as the man placed the wine on the table. Doug merely stared at it for a moment.

Kitty felt awkward. "I.. really shouldn't have any." She said quietly. It had been a lovely gesture, but she was underage and hadn't had very good experiences with alcohol.

Doug laughed slightly at her comment. "I shouldn't have any, either," he replied. Biting his lower lip, he deliberated on the best way to say thanks, but no thanks to Mr. Giordano. "Hm..."

Kitty leaned forward conspiratorially, "Maybe one glass won't hurt." She said, then bit her lip waiting for his reaction.

His eyes flicked left and then right before narrowing. He leaned in as well. "Just to show our appreciation," he murmured in agreement. Sitting back up, he opened the bottle and poured himself slightly less than a half glass.

Kitty nodded, as if having a glass of champagne, (in this context, anyway), were a noble gesture, totally justified and sat straighter in her chair, her hands folded in her lap.

Doug poured Kitty a bit more than he'd taken, just to be chivalrous; he didn't know how much experience she had with drinking. Of course, he doubted one glass could phase her. He smiled to himself as the liquid splashed into her waiting glass.

Kitty looked at the glass as an hostile opponent for an instant before lifting her glass and taking a sip. She held the glass in her hand, savoring the taste. "That's really good." She said, then took a second sip.

Setting the bottle down, Doug smiled. "Mr. Giordano has good taste," he chuckled. He didn't lift his own glass of champagne, though; instead, he opted for his glass of water.

Kitty nodded, then set her glass down. She picked up her fork and started in on her dinner. A person her size, with no food on her stomach, had no business drinking any alcohol at all. Kitty had eaten eggplant parmesan before, but nothing like this. She closed her eyes and reveled in the tastes, "Mmm..." She mused, almost inaudibly, then opened her eyes and said "Jesus, this is amazing."

He laughed. "We'll have to leave them a good tip, then," he replied, wrapping a bite of Fettuccine noodles around his fork. He bit into and had to agree; Giordano's was truly an amazing culinary experience.
