Paige knew she should stay clear of the city after her run in with Pyro a few weeks ago, but she was determined to find him. Maybe it was wrong of her to go looking for a fight, but she knew things were not finished between the two. She was almost completely healed after their last run in, but her side still hurt if she moved the wrong way. As it was cold out, Paige had a white-knitted cap on her head and a baby blue long jacket as well as a black scarf around her neck. Wearing dark blue jeans, she had on sneakers, which seemed a bit of place with her outfit, but she didn't feel like getting blisters from all the walking. Gloved hands in her pockets she continued to walk down the street. She wasn't sure if she was imagining things or not, but she was rather sure she was getting a cold. She supposed that's what she got for being outside almost all of yesterday building a snowman with Melody, as childish as that was, it was fun.

::Odin was off from his work at the magazine for the entire week; nobody else was open, and so there was no need for him to come in. He'd spent the time half-heartedly involved in research, but it failed to capture his full attention. With Stacy away, the apartment was uncomfortably empty; funny, how one didn't realize how accustomed one became to another until she was gone.
Hands in his jacket pockets, he walked the streets of Manhattan. It was hardly a happy season, with the looming political doom they could face, and with nobody to look forward to spending the day with.::

Looking around, Paige was surprised when she caught sight of someone she hadn't seen in a while and a bright smile came to her face. "Odin!" She called out as she moved past people to get to him.

::Odin's thoughts had been elsewhere, disconcertingly so, considering the ease with which he could ignore his tracking sense in those moments. Hearing his name called in a familiar voice jolted him from his reverie, which in turn tuned him back into his sense. *Mutant,* his mind identified. Familiar. Paige.
Lifting his head, he tried to peer through the crowd of people to see her.::

When she got closer to him again, she smiled when she saw him look up. "Hey." She said as she pushed past a few others. "How are ya? Haven't seen ya in a while."

::The question came before Odin could get the pleasantry out of the way. Sixteen months. Sixteen months and he had yet to get this treated. He made an early resolution to fix it come January.:: "I've been surviving, Paige. Merry Christmas."

"That's good." Paige said with a gentle smile, "Thanks, same to you." She said quickly before bringing her hand up to cover her mouth as she sneezed. "It's freezin' these days." Paige commented as she wrapped her arms around herself.

::Odin was used to freezing temperatures and chilling winds, but doubted Paige was, coming as she did from Kentucky. He looked around and chose the nearest building, a bookstore, before removing a hand from his pocket to lightly grasp her arm and lead her towards shelter.:: "Let's get warmed up."

Paige was slightly surprised when Odin lightly grabbed a hold of her arm, but followed him anyway. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." She said, "So how's the magazine goin'?"

::Within a minute, they were inside the bookstore, which had central heating. Odin released her arm and rubbed his hands together to warm them.:: "It's slow and steady; we're hoping for another publication before being shut down."

Paige hadn't noticed where they were going until she saw all the books. Her eyes immediately lit up, if it was one thing she enjoyed to do in her spare time, it was to read books. "Why would you be shut down?" Paige asked, confusion to her tone as she looked to him.

"I don't have high hopes for the new administration," ::Odin explained with a disappointed shake of his head. There was great potential for destruction in a month, and he wanted nothing to do with it.::

Paige frowned gently as she looked to him whilst taking off her gloves. Putting them in her coat pockets she unwound her scarf, at least it was warm in here. "Ah hope ya'll don't quit, Ah enjoyed readin' it."

::Odin's hands had warmed, and he let them drop to his sides. He glanced around the bookstore, mentally seeking out the cashier as he always did, and then the magazine rack and non-fiction sections. Then he returned his gaze to Paige's face, a small smile on his lips.:: "I'm glad to hear that, and we'll do what we can to stay in business. But if not...you'll know why."

"And then Ah'll have to make a petition." Paige teased before she started to move more into the store, "Didja come 'ere for somethin', or just to get warm?" She asked curiously as he seemed to have been looking around for something.
