::Pietro's arm instinctively went around her shoulders, his hand resting on the fabric of her coat over her arm. He surmised she hadn't meant to insult him.:: "Has it been so hard on you?"

"Not hard, I suppose, just..." she shook her head. "I've woken up with half my body disappearing into the mattress." Another slight chuckle. "Sometimes it's even funny, even if the burns hurt later. But I'd rather you not wake up with my hand disappearing into your chest."

::Pietro found nothing humorous about that, the combination of pain and insubstantially could be nothing but unpleasant. He didn't want her to fear for his sake; he could care for himself, even if recently he had realized that his protection did not extend to others as much as he liked to think.:: "Have you mentioned it to anyone else?"

"Hell no." The words were sharper then she intended, and she tried to tone it down. "I couldn't....I just got rid of a ghost. Now I am one. It's not something I want to advertise."

"You're not a ghost," ::Pietro said, voice somewhat firm. Mary had been an evil spirit; Rossignol was anything but.::

::Pietro understood the concern, but he couldn't curb his tongue from speaking his thoughts on the matter.:: "If others think that, they're blind fools."

"No one's perfect," she said philosphically. "I don't blame them for being scared if they saw me that way."

::Pietro did not speak his immediate thoughts, that she might not fault others, but he would. Mary was dead, Rossignol was here, and if these were her new abilities, the rest of the mansion would have to accept it. He merely tightened his arm around her, drawing her closer.::

Ty leaned into him, changing the subject. "I graduate in two weeks."

::That seemed unexpected to Pietro and the surprise was reflected on his features. He turned his head to face her.:: "Congratulations."

"You thought I wasn't a student anymore?" she asked, responding to the surprise on his face.

::Pietro shook his head slightly; that had not been what went through his mind.:: "I remember graduation being in the summer."

"It is, usually," she said, "but I only have to finish two classes, and then my requirements are done. No need to take classes if I don't need them to finish school."

::Pietro nodded once; he, also, so no reason to be confined to a class room unless it was required.:: "What then?"
