True to his word, Gambit arranged the time and place for Tabitha to try out something new at the Hellfire Club. She had mentioned she was interested in trying striptease and he was very much interested in seeing what would come out of this idea.
He had asked her to meet him 'backstage', in the dressing rooms; it was the start of the evening as he didn't want to make Tabitha dive headfirst into the crest of the night when the Club was especially crowded and things got heated. So the rooms were mostly empty, too. Also, he wanted to introduce her to one of the more experienced dancers so that Tabitha could know some details already, which he probably didn't even know.

Tabitha came to work excited and giddy, and was she bouncing. Yep, there was most definitely a bounce in her step. True Tabitha fashion when she was hyped up in anticipation of what was to come. She went backstage to meet up with Gambit a smile showing just how interested she was in this.

There was a row of small rooms for various kinds of dance entertainment behind the dancefloor; and behind those, there was a dressing room, so that was where Gambit was at the moment, talking to Lynx, the dancer whom he planned Tabitha to meet. Lynx was a shapeshifter; she could change her form into that of a large cat, halting the transition at any moment and achieving various proportions of human and feline in her appearance. She also moved very well, and Gambit thought she would be a nice tutor.
He was leaning against the dressing-room table, fiddling with some cards in his hands and talking to Lynx while she was nearby, applying her makeup. The door was open so Tabitha would notice them if she passed by searching for Gambit.

Tabitha stopped as she was about to pass a door and caught a glance of Gambit talking to some woman. She took a step so that she was in the doorway and then she knocked on the open door to get their attention.

Lynx just shifted her glance from her reflection in the mirror to the person standing in the doorway, not stopping with her makeup routine; Gambit raised his head. "Bon soir chere," he smiled at seeing Tabitha. "Come on in," he moved his leg slightly to catch the foot of a nearby chair with his shoe and dragged the chair closer for Tabitha to take a seat.

"Hey," she greeted, returning the smile and then went to take a seat in the chair, crossing one leg over the other. "So- how's this go?" she asked, avidly.

"Um, Tabitha, this is Lynx; Lynx, Tabitha," Gambit introduced the two to one another, before leaning back against the mirror.
Lynx stared at her reflexion for a moment, then tilted her head and turned on her chair to face Tabitha. "Ever danced with people staring at you the entire time?" she asked. "And I don't mean some nerdy classmate drooling from a dark corner at the disco."

"No school gets you no nerdy, drooling classmates," Tabitha said with a slightly awkward smile. "And I haven't really paid attention to who's watching me, if anyone is."

"I see," Lynx nodded, then brushed her tongue over her teeth, thoughtful for a moment. "So you're a total newbie-" she crossed her legs and studied Tabitha. "We have small stages in every room. People usually sit around you, watching. It's better if you don't pay attention to them the first time around. They can stare pretty intense- gets on your nerves at first."
Gambit sat more comfortably on the table, rotating a card in his fingers and listening to the exchange.

" 'Kay," Tabitha nodded listening very closely to what the girl was telling her. "I think I might be able to handle the attention, though."

"Well, you never know," Lynx shrugged. "I mean, hey, I'm trying to make your first time comfortable here, all right?" she laughed, leaning forward to slap Tabitha lightly on the knee.
"Oh, don't worry 'bout that," Gambit smirked. "Somethin' tells me she'll get comfortable in no time."

Tabitha laughed shortly, with a nod. Really the girl was just trying to help her and she understood that. She looked at Gambit's smirk and shook her head with a smirk of her own. "All right," she replied to Lynx, looking back to her and leaning foreward a bit. "So, is there costumes and what do I take off?"

Lynx quirked a brow. "What, you don't have anything of your own?" she asked, a bit puzzled. "Well-" her face grimaced slightly in thought, and she continued after a pause, "in that case, honey, I guess you'll have to wear something else for now, something from other girls." She turned around, studying the furniture in the room, and then pointed at a clothes rack in the corner. It was mostly empty, though. "Maybe there."

"Oh, no. Um, I actually brought some things. I was just wondering. I have a bag outside, can't believe I forgot to bring it in..." she said feeling a bit like a ditz and raised up from the chair. "I'm going to go get it before someone finds some presents for their girlfriend or something, but I'd really like for you'd to help me pick something out? Since your experienced in this." Tabitha said with a quirked brow in question.

"Oh, I will," Lynx assured her with half a smirk. "So will I," Gambit grinned.
