John had just begun to add can opener to the list, when Lance spoke up. "We'll get a can opener." He said firmly, figuring it could only be a couple bucks. "That way, we don't have to wait around for you and your knife, every time we want to eat."

"Plus, if you start claiming the knife as your own, we won't get a look in on the canned food," said Astral with a small frown. "It's either for everyone or no one."

"Fine," Lance shrugged, not feeling like pressing his point. He couldn't see himself greedily clutching the knife and hiding it from everyone else, but if they preferred it that way- "But dammit, people, I'm a nice guy," he said, narrowing his eyes slightly in an attempt to understand how it was possible that they couldn't figure it out.

Kitty became more nervous as they bickered. Despite herself, she giggled quietly at the man as he plead his case, but quickly caught herself.

"Shut up Lance." John mumbled, hoping to silence the guy. Looking over the list, he figured they had it pretty much jotted down. "Maybe we could get a cooler too." He then suggested, knowing it wouldn't be as good as a fridge, but would still keep things a bit colder, especially if it snowed, or the nearby stream froze over, so they could then have ice.

"A cooler will only work if we can freeze the ice packs," she pointed out, knowing they wouldn't come frozen and there was no one on the team with any ice type of powers.

Lance rolled his eyes even more at John's words, taking a deep breath so as not to start a row. He made no other suggestions anymore, not interested in the topic of the conversation any longer.

Kitty shivered, the cold starting to creep into her bones. She hoped they would finish their conversation soon.

"We can just stick them outside. In a couple nights, they should be frozen." John figured, depending on the temperature. He shoved the bus ticket back into his pocket, before roughly he held the pen out to Kitty, to take back.

"I suppose," Astral sighed, taking off the bag and resting it at her feet for the moment, as the weight was making her shoulder ache.

With his hands still stuck in his pockets, Lance studied his sneakers, drawing random invisible shapes with one foot on the ground in front of him. His mind was elsewhere at the moment.
(( I'm off guys. ))

Kitty saw that the other man was equally uninterested in the conversation. After taking the pen back from John, she studied both of the others, wondering what would drive a person to live in the conditions they indirectly painted in their conversation.

"The sh*t'll be cheaper to get in the town." John vaguely said, as he looked around the bright, bustling city.

"What are we doing now then?" Astral asked, looking to John, as she expected him to make the decision.

Lance kept looking at the ground, stiffling an urge to start whistling a tune. He would prefer them to start doing at least anything because standing in the middle of the street with a bag ful of money wasn't feeling too nice. "Let's start with some food already," he said. Although he would start with finding a motel or something, with money now, there was no need to sleep in the forest.
