Laura went to stab the Lieutenant again, but got hit by a few rounds. One punctured her cheek and hurt worse then the others that hit her side and shoulder. She grunted in pain as the bullets hit, and she was forced to leave the mutant again to deal with the humans. If not able to kill, head to extraction point. That's an order. Splitting pain erupted in her head and she was forced to close her eyes to control the pain, but only for a second. The bullets in her pushed their way out and fell to the ground. The blood dripping from her face and side the only indicator that she had even been shot.

::Just as the Lieutenant had, the sergeant realized this was not a normal mutant. He called for SWAT backup, but knew that it might be too late. Sirens sounded in the distance, the medical backup rushing to help the Lieutenant and the fallen officers.::

She went to stab the Lieutenant again when she got hit by the bullets the other officer was firing. A few hit her side and shoulder, but the one that hurt the most was the one that hit her cheek. Laura was forced to turn her attention off the mutant yet again as she went after the human. Head to the extraction point, that's an order Pain started to erupt in her head, almost splitting. Laura had to close her eyes to get the pain under control as the bullets pushed their way out hitting the ground. The blood dripping down her side and cheek was the only indicator that she had been shot. More bullets flew at her but she avoided them for the most part taking some of them as she attacked the officer.

"Bullets aren't doing anything," ::The sergeant called to the other officers as she went to attack the one who had just fired. Most of them listened, but a few were unwilling to accept that and fired either more rounds or tranquilizer darts, anything to stop her.
A few moments later, medical personnel burst into the scene, searching for the sergaent who had called them in.::

Laura killed the officer and when she saw the medical assistance, the pain came back in her head twice has bad as before. Laura was forced onto her knees and hands on her head. Follow the order X23! The pain went away and it took Laura a minute to get up. She looked around for the best escape route while bouncing most of the ammo off her claws while she made a decision.

::The officers and medical personnel were distracted trying to minimize the chaos. If she went down the back corridor, they would not notice. Two EMTs had found the Lieutenant and were applying pressure to his wounds before putting him on a gurney.::

Running, Laura headed down the back corridor and out of everyone's sight. She looked back at what she had done for only a second, retracting her claws, before running through the back alleys heading toward the extraction point. Laura had to follow orders and knew that when she returned to Weapon X, she would be punished for her disobedient behavior.

::The Lieutenant was strapped to the gurney and taken out to the ambulance. Nothing could be done for the deceased officers or civilians who had earlier been killed. When SWAT arrived, they looked for the suspect, but she was long gone.::
