::Still Pietro's fingers traced up her arm then down again. A light touch, but a connection nonetheless.:: "Say I'm caught in traffic while I guard then."

She dropped her eyes from his for a moment, shook her head again. "You're not my bodyguard, I won't treat you like it." One hand flipped wet hair out of her face, the other covering his. It was a running sentiment in how she viewed Pietro- he was family, not someone just around for the heavy lifting. She remained quiet for a moment, then..."I've been thinking about what happened in Rome."

::Pietro shifted slightly beside her, a response to her movement. He wasn't surprised by her comment of where her thoughts were; he had expected it, which was why he'd given her space these past days.:: "Your thoughts?"

"I stopped trying to have it make sense," she replied quietly. "Because it doesn't. What she said...doesn't make any sense to me at all." She shifted a little against him. The last week had been spent trying to find some sort of way to make peace with the situation, and finally she'd had to make a small step towards it. "I'm...taking my sister's last name."

::Pietro would have done the same, had Wanda and he for some reason had separate last names.:: "You should."

She felt a small measure of relief, unsure as to how he would have reacted. It was her sister's last name, yes, but also her aunt's. She'd finally decided to ignore that. "Those other names, the ones she said..." Ty shook her head. "I don't want them. Not after hearing them like that." Her reaction was much the same as it had been when they'd walked away from that tenement in Rome. "I know more then I wanted."

::Pietro was a veteran of rejecting names as well, and were he her, would have no desire to keep them either.:: "You are Rossignol to me."

She squeezed his hand. "I know." She paused briefly. "I might have taken Maximoff, eventually." The comment was made delicately; she wasn't talking about marriage, but an acknowledgment that they saw her as family.

::They had discussed several times that she was family, although they had never had the marriage discussion. Now wasn't the time or place for it, though Pietro would need to give her his opinions, and hear hers. She'd been engaged, once, to her ex, Tim, and that had been a terrible day for him; not that he had said so. To speak of it was against his code of honor. She knew, of course, had been there.
Taking the marriage component aside, it was a statement of family nonetheless, and he was glad on a level she felt comfortable saying so. Gladder still that he'd gotten through to her those many times he'd spoken those words.:: "We could always use another in the clan."

"Maybe," she said, closing her eyes, still against his shoulder. She'd thought about marriage several times, but knew on many levels that neither of them were ready for it. Put simply, the idea scared her; the last attempt had fallen apart too badly. She brushed those thoughts mentally aside. "I leave next week, and I'm not sure I want to."

"It is not so far," ::Pietro understood the reluctance, but she had looked forward to going before, and he wouldn't nurture anything but that sentiment.::

"I haven't been back there to live since I left the Morlocks," Ty said quietly. "People might be looking for me." She remembered what she'd done the day she'd relived blocked memories for the first time. "Strike that. There ARE people looking for me."

::Pietro did not take away from that indication that anything more was amiss than usual. With the world they lived in, they were constantly looking out for themselves. Villains were everywhere.:: "People are always looking for us."

She shook her head a little. "That's not what I mean. I...almost killed a man a few months ago, after my first session with the Professor."

::Pietro's reaction was immediate, because he thought there could be no other explanation for her behavior. It was what he believed of her, that she was above.:: "What did he do to you?"
