((OOC: This occurs perhaps a half hour after page 26 of the apartment.))
::Odin and Stacy had taken the subway to Mid-Town. The area was crowded with tourists, as usual, but there was a benefit that the smaller, artsy areas couldn't produce: there were two multiplex theaters across the street from one another. It was a triumph of profit maximization, as both were owned by the same person. He reserved one theatre purely for blockbusters, and the other for smaller films.
Odin had insisted they check the "smaller" theatre first, as he had no true desire to sit through "Indiana Jones" or "Mama Mia." They stood outside, reading the show and time list, and he waited for Stacy to give a verdict.::

Now she was on the other side of her prostitution stint, Stacy was finally able to see the glory of New York. It was bustling and frantic, full of energy and life. She didn't forget the less than pleasant things that happened here, but it was nice to see both sides of the city. She was excited to be out in a nice part of the city, surrounded by the tall buildings and crowds. She had kept close to Odin as they walked so they wouldn't be separated and now stood reading the film list with him. She was hardly up to date on the recent movies that were out and looked towards him. "I'm not fussed, what do you wanna see?"

::Odin studied the film listings. The romance genre was out, as was anything which consisted primarily of explosions. After a minute, one film caught his eye.:: "What about 'Choke?'"

"Do you know what it's about?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the film title.

"It's an off-pace comedy about a man who pretends to choke to get friends and money," ::Odin was familiar with the novel, which was why it had caught his attention. If the film stayed on topic at all was another issue entirely.::

"Hm," she said slowly. "It sounds interestin'. Alright then," she said in agreement to the choice.

::The next show was in twenty minutes, which would give them time to buy tickets and snacks, and to get settled. Odin began walking to the entrance and pulled the door open for her.:: "Then let's go."

Stacy followed after Odin, smiling a little as he opened the door and slipped on through ahead of him. She entered the foyer of the cinema and looked around, spotting the ticket desk not too far away.

::As always, the theatre was somewhat crowded, but with fifteen shows going at once, it was expected. Odin approached the ticket desk and stood behind the half dozen people in front of him. Others were at the automated dispensers along the right side of the line.::

When Odin headed over to the ticket desk, Stacy followed in his wake, standing besides him as they waited in the queue. She looked around as they stood there, eyes wandering over the various people. It was certainly days like this where she felt rather normal, but at that thought did subconsciously brush a strand of green hair out of her face.

::Odin, too, felt "normal" which was to say he felt grounded. He still found it peculiar to actually live somewhere outside of Chicago, rather than to constantly travel. To have a roommate and to go out to afternoon shows. However, he was adjusted as best as could be expected.
When he reached the front of the line, he purchased two tickets for the next viewing of "Choke," and was wished a pleasant day by the teller. He returned the well wish and went over to Stacy, holding up the tickets as though to say "mission accomplished."::

Stacy flashed Odin a smile as he held up their tickets. "C'mon then!" she said cheerfully, linking her arm through his and eagerly dragging him off towards the snack area so they could get some food and drink to take in.

"You're eager," ::Odin said with humor, before he found his arm linked with hers, and thought nothing of it; most people were more physical than he was. His curiosity overcame his introspection, but only on a mental level, not a physical one. He wasn't uncomfortable with casual physical contact, but he also rarely if ever initiated without a specific purpose in mind.
They reached the concession stand, which had four aisles all busily serving various customers. The lingering odor of artificial butter filled the area, and enough candy was available to keep every child in the neighborhood awake for a week.::

Stacy chuckled quietly, "I can't remember the last time I went to the cinema," she admitted before turning to look over the available foods. "What shall we get?" she wondered, arm leaving his as she went over to the large popcorn machine, watching the snack inside the large clear case.

"Anything you're hungry for," ::Odin's reply was a simple one. Today hadn't been a day of healthy food choices, and he wouldn't change pattern in the middle of the day. That meant popcorn and a milkshake, at the very least on his part.::
