Gambit gave her a wink before walking off and making a small detour towards the bar. He asked the bartender to prepare hot chocolate for Shade and then went on to take a look around the Club and to see how things had been going, before the Club would become crowded again for the evening. He didn't expect this to take more than fifteen minutes or so.

Shade remained where she was but turned a little more towards the bar to be able to have a good overview about the place from where she was sitting. There were not too many people around at this time of the day yet so the bartenders didn´t have much to do. She could see Tabitha was still busy somewhere around the bar and for a moment considered to get up and stir up a little chat, putting down that idea again though because she decided there wasn´t a reason to do so and the other girl was also busy.
The bartender arrived a few moments later, setting the chocolate down in front of her and Shade let her thoughts stray for a while, straying into a direction that didn´t quite match the relaxed mood she was in right now. She had not heard anything about Shona ever since that nasty conversation back at the mansion and she was starting to be worried. After her initial anger had cooled down she had asked herself if she had done the right thing just letting her go, if she as a friend could not have done something different. And after all these weeks there had been nothing of her, no sign. And it was now her bad consciousness nagging on her. She shouldn´t have let her walk away like this. Maybe she should see if she could find out something. If Shona was all right whereever she was. She had no idea how to do this, but the thought started to form clearly in her head.
Shade took a sip of her chocolate, outer appearance not betraying her slight thoughtfulness, and relaxed, watching the few patrons that had already arrived as she waited for Gambit to return.

Tabitha had taken care of the one patron, but then she had some others who had called to her. Others who were mostly men (and some women) who wanted to flirt. And she wasn't one to deny anyone a little fun. Though, she was working the whole time she was away from the cubicle, Tabitha was laughing and listening to the customers she was taking care of as they told her about their day or a joke or two, and she would get them a beer or whatever drink they ordered either after or while they talked.

Gambit walked further inside the Club, stopping every now and then to talk to the people whose shift it was today. He was mostly asking about the visitors that may have inquired about him while he had been away; there were some other minor troubles, too, but generally the Club was taking care of itself, just like it was supposed to.
He finished his visit by a quick peek into the offices and into the accounting books. It wasn't the financial aspect that was his prime interest, but the accountants himself. If they kept the books in order, he knew he could trust his people.
In some twenty minutes, he was walking past the bar, returning to where Shade was sitting.

Shade looked up when she saw him approach from the corners of her eyes a few minutes later. Her cocoa was almost empty and nearly cold by now. "Everything still up and running?" she asked glancing up at him.

"Well of course it is," Gambit smirked. "I woulda been really surprised 'f it hadn't. How's chocolate?"

Shade had no idea how the club was managed or who was responsible for the place being kept up when Gambit was not there to take care for it, therefore she couldn´t really judge on that, but believed him with an inward shrug instead. "Nice." she said, slightly drawling the word while she seemingly casually tipped one finger against the cup, making the cup itself vanish to reveal it was almost empty. Quite some of those little tricks came with ease by now.
Her slight gloominess from a moment ago was gone now. "So." she said, shifting her position so she was on her knees on the bench now, hands propped against the back in a nonchalat manner, being somewhat on eye level with Gambit. "finished with business stuff?"

A quick glance at the invisible cup told him Shade was done with her chocolate more or less. Gambit leaned over to her, halting close to her face. "I absolutely am," he said.

Shade didn´t move, not changing the short distance between them, keeping a straight face. "Good." she said, the hint of a smirk showing and betraying the seeming mix of seriousness and nonchalance she was trying to display. "cause I´m starving."

"Ya poor chere," Gambit said, not a sign of sympathy on his face as he knew there was a very slim chance she could be talking about food. "Let's go do somethin' 'bout it."

Shade liked how he would get the reference of little inside jokes or double meanings when she made them and the smirk broadened ever so slightly. She scrambled off the bench, paying no further attention to the almost empty cup of cocoa. "Any place you could recommend?" she asked as if she were asking about some food place. Gambit had mentioned spending the night here earlier and part of her, not her biggest focus right now, but still, was curious about what whereever he stayed here looked like.

"I know a good one, right 'round the corner," Gambit nodded with his head towards the stairs that lead to the second floor. He stepped aside, letting Shade get out of the cubicle. "Follow me, mademoiselle..." he said as he went towards the stairs. A look around the Club told him it was already filling with people for the night.

Shade slipped from behind the table and followed him. He had shown her around the club quite some time ago she remembered, recalling what was on the upper floor. Probably he had some room there or something she guessed. Heck, she didn´t really care what that place looked like right now.

They walked up the stairs and along the gallery on the second floor, then made a turn, stopping near an inconspicuous door of Gambit's room where he spent his nights at the Hellfire from time to time and where he also kept a variety of things he could find necessary at some more demanding points in life.
He ran his swipe card, opening the door, and pushed the door open to let Shade inside.

Stepping inside, Shade foun herself in a relatively small and rather stuffed looking roodm. There were boxes cluttered around between the furniture; all in all a functional room, no place that looked like Gambit had attempted to make himself feel at home. She took a brief glance around before she turned towards Gambit, reaching for him with one hand and demandingly pulling him in after her and closer by his belt.
