"Like you've lost a friend, somehow?" Ty asked.

She nodded, silent. She felt as if there were another part of her, another part she didn't realize she had, until now. When she'd lost it.

Ty reached out from where she sat and carefully moved a piece of Kyra's hair away from her face. "You have us as your friends," she said gently, hoping she was speaking for Pietro as well. "Though..." she chuckled softly, "you'll have to pardon me when I forget there were some things you weren't here for."

::Pietro nodded once in agreement with Typhoid's sentiment. The cub could rely on him.:: "Yes, Kyra, you have us both."

Both Ty's and Pietro's kind words, they made her feel like she was home. Like she didn't have to worry about anything else while they were there with her. And the emotion swelled, and, when Ty moved the hair out of her eyes, she looked up at her. And lost it. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, and as much as she wanted to, she couldn't stop herself from doing it.

Ty moved over and awkwardly put her arms around Kyra, still unused to contact with someone she didn't know well, but wanting to give the girl comfort. She hadn't realized it had hit Kyra so hard, and wondered if Mystique did, either.

She sniffed, and returned the hug. She could tell it was somewhat awkward for Ty, and she understood. She'd barely met the other woman. "I'm sorry," she said, her voice sounding awful from the emotion that had been held back until now. She felt embarrassed, that she was here, crying in the arms of someone who she'd only briefly met, and didn't know very well.

Ty shook her head, releasing Kyra from the hug. "Don't apologize. Everyone has their moments."

"Don't apologize," ::Pietro said sternly, although the sentiment was not meant to discipline her. He was simply tired of this situation, of seeing victims blame themselves for their plights. Kyra had done nothing wrong; she had been taken in by those who would use her, take advantage of her. It was not her fault. That she was overcome because of it was only natural, and he would not let her feel as though she should be ashamed because of it. Perhaps it was hypocrtical, but he had always held himself to higher standards than others.::

She withdrew from the embrace, wiping at her eyes. They were red-rimmed already. "I guess...I guess I just miss my family, and how everything was before..." she trailed off, looking at her hands. Before she'd turned into what she was today.

Ty could only nod in empathy- she had never had any family to miss, never had a reason to question being a mutant. Even touch, as much as she craved it now, had never seemed a good reason to regret having a mutation. It was one of the reasons she'd never Cured herself. "I have an open door, if you're feeling lonely," she offered.

She gave her a weak smile. "Thank you, I really appreciate it, Typhoid," she said, standing up.

"No thanks needed," Ty said, shaking her head with a small smile, feeling a bit helpless to do anything else besides offer companionship. There were wounds in the girl that she couldn't heal.

::Pietro vowed to tell the young woman a story one of these days, about why backward wishing would not help. Today, however, was not the time for it.:: "And you know where to find me."

She nodded, and wiped the dirt off the back of her jeans. "I really appreciate it, from both of you." Her eyes turned yellow, and furry ears poked out from her raven hair. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a lot of emotions to work out, and if any of you feel like going into the forest, don't," she told them seriously, pulling her jacket off.
