"Being more potent than chicken broth," ::Odin replied. The coffee was dreadful, but he also didn't feel up to the task of leaving quite yet.:: "Would you care to try it?"

She shook her head, making a slight face. "I've tried coffee before. It's too bitter."

"Not this coffee," ::Whatever industrialized beans they used were then watered down until it hardly resembled coffee at all. Odin took his coffee black and enjoyed the taste, but this...:: "It's water."

"Then I'll stick to water," she said, chuckling.

::The conversation about coffee was going nowhere, and it was barely interesting to Odin, which meant that is was completely uninteresting to her. He changed topics to what had been discussed earlier, or had been implied at the very least.:: "How's your boyfriend?"

It was a loaded question, considering everything recently. She opted for telling the truth but not all of it. "He's fine. He sat for the police entrance exams recently, after we got back from Italy." She knew he'd done well, though if he was actually granted entrance remained to be seen.

::Odin realized the irony of it, of the son trying to become an agent of the law while his father was a wanted criminal. Then again, it was not so different than affiliating himself with the X-Men, it simply involved human law as well. After the rally, Odin was a bit more sympathetic to that cause. He'd remembered a brief mention of Italy at the rally also, but to what, he couldn't recall, if there had been anything in the first place.:: "Good for him. I'm sure he dazzled."

"He always does." There was little anyone could say to Typhoid that would convince her otherwise, though Pietro spent enough time kicking himself for things not his fault.

::That comment, and her tone, cut through the haze of exhaustion, and caused Odin to smile a bit, as he blinked slowly to clear his eyes.:: "It's good to be so in love. Cherish it."

The comment made her laugh a little; she hadn't realized it was so apparent. "You have no idea. And what about you? Anyone in particular?"

::Odin knew the feeling, but that was in his past. Just as his business, his old prospects, and much of his life. He had a new chapter ahead of him, and there wasn't room for love.:: "I'm a perpetual bachelor."

"I don't know whether to say 'congratulations' or 'sorry'," she admitted with a slight smile.

"I hear that often," ::Odin replied, and he managed to return the smile without yawning.:: "Congratulations from the bachelors and sympathy from those with mates."

"I suppose I'll just stay in between then," she said, chuckling. "At least until if and when we make it legal."

"Have you tried dropping hints?" ::Odin let the conversation ball stay in her proverbial court. She could answer as much or as little as she wished, and it would tell him a bit about her attitudes as well.::
