"Well, I saw one of the brotherhood members." She told him before chewing on her bottom lip.

::Odin's opinion of the Brotherhood was a peculiar mixture of admiration, the crestfallen realization of imperfection, and a bit of personal distaste. The fight at Alcatraz had done nothing to offend him, but the pursuit of the small boy Leech had prevented him from ever wishing to join their ranks. Their abilities were too similar for comfort.:: "They might be out to make a stand that won't result in destruction."

"I doubt it." Paige said, obviously not sharing the same opinions on the Brotherhood that he seemed to have.

"Ok," she replied to Maya, sounding eager and going back to looking around. The crowd was growing and more people were filling the area in a short space of time.

::Odin's unspoken reply was "a man can dream." The Brotherhood had largely been a non-presence since Alcatraz, and thinking it through, this would provide a perfect stage for the production of their reemergence. His eyes traversed the crowd, took in face after face, X-factor after X-factor. He had no particular love of humans as a whole, but his rule was never hurt another mutant.:: "Did you come from the school alone, or did you bring back-up?"

"I came by myself, I tried getting my brother and sister to come but..." Shrugging her shoulders she then looked around again. "I know there are people from the school here though."

"Then we have the calvary," ::Odin replied, and the remark, though light, was serious enough.::

Typhoid had heard there were several people from the Mansion planning on coming to the mutant rights rally. She had inwardly cringed at the mention of it, considering what happened last time, but had also made up her mind to go. It was three weeks after she and Pietro had gotten back from Italy, and she still felt...numb.
She'd opted against making her way to the Village by car, instead using a way that she rarely did- she flew. A few rally participants at the edge of the crowd cleared when she made her landing, leaving ashy holes in the pavement in the shape of her footprints as she landed, the only indication of the power she had to wield doing that these days. The footprints disappeared as she walked away, a flick of her power repairing them.
After Italy, after what she'd found out, she'd changed. The fear of crowds had given way to an attitude of toughness, a "take it or leave it" frame of mind when it came to power use in public. If people didn't like it...well, she didn't care. The clothing changed with the attitude: gone was the coat and opera gloves, the longsleeved clothes. The jeans stayed, but only because they were easier to move in. A corseted tube top served as a substitute for the longsleeved shirts. Were she fighting, her knives would have been in full view. They weren't now, she hadn't worn them.
She stopped at the edge of the group, surveying the crowd with both her eyes and other senses, seeing a couple people she knew, but not approaching anyone at the moment.

Paige smiled a little before looking around. Noticing Ty she smiled a little but didn't go over to her, not sure if Ty was in the best of moods right now or not. She just got that vibe that the red-head had a lot more than this rally on her mind at the moment.

A recognizeable heartbeat came to the forefront of Ty's senses, and she spotted Husk in the crowd. A few people were in the way, she simply turned transparent and walked through them, though she had to walk around a person who's powers kept him from being susceptible to her in this form. She solidified in front of Husk. "Fancy seeing you here."

"Or you," ::Odin said with a smirk, when Typhoid appeared; although he was fairly certain she wasn't speaking to him. He had sensed her away, and was somewhat surprised that she was here, considering their last encounter. Then again, that was precisely what allowed her to come to a crowd.::

"Not so unusual these days," she replied blandly. "Besides, someone has to be here to make sure you all don't kill yourselves."

::"Touchy" was Odin's first thought. Whatever had happened these past months didn't appear to have served her well. He also noticed that her lover wasn't here, although Odin could hardly fault him; there had to be mixed reactions to his face.:: "I'm the last person who'll come to harm here, but it's always nice to be in someone's thoughts."

"Hey." Paige said with a smile when Ty came here. "Wasn't expecting you here either, how was Italy?" She asked before looking to Odin. Brows furrowing she could feel the tension rising from both Ty and Odin.

Typhoid's eyebrow rose at Odin, but instead of shooting back she simply said "Fair enough" before replying to Husk. "It was...different," she said, searching in vain for an adjective that described it without giving much away about it. Most of the trip was personal. "And I got something for you," she finished off, because it was true, she had.
