Rally for Rights

[evangeline]

Siryn shoved her way past a few unmoving protestors until she broke through into John's little crowd. She didn't know the other girl standing there -- was she glowing? -- but Si offered her a polite nod anyway before turning her attention to John.

"Game plan?" it was an innocent enough question, just in case the other girl wasn't part of their team.

[Husk]

"I'm Paige." She said with a smile, feeling it was only right to introduce herself. "I've seen you around Xavier's before." Paige explained.

[jonathon]

"Eclipse," he replied with a small nod. "Oh right, I expected to see a quite a few people from the school out here." With that in mind he again looked around the growing crowd. It was almost impossible to spot someone in the large group of protesters and after a moment he gave up.

[stjohn]

"Map out the area a bit. More people might arrive, but at least try and think of an exit, in case we have to leave." John told Siryn, in a bit of a undertone, before he looked over at Astral, rolling his eyes at how excited she seemed, though a small smirk remained on his face. "Oh just wait until the real fun begins."

[Husk]

Paige smiled with a nod, "Well, nice to meetcha." She said before looking around. "Quite a turn-out, huh?" She asked him, rather proud that mutants were standing up for themselves.

[jonathon]

"It is, yeah," he replied, looking down to her again. "Are you here with anyone?"

[Somebody?]

Lucy:

Lucy was beyond pissed when she found out what John had been planning with the members of his group and had kept it away from her. Like she couldn't handle herself. That didn't stop the red-head from going though, and when she got there, he was going to get it. Looking through the sea of people she saw Siryn first before she spotted John. Jaw clenching she moved over to where he was, back turned to her she tapped him rather roughly on the shoulder.

[Husk]

"Well, besides the rest of the school that's here? No." She said with a smile.

[evangeline]

"If you can find an exit, I might be able to cover us some by blowing some ear drums, but those on our team have to be ready to cover their ears. I'd offer to fly up and scout the crowd for you too, but that's more attention than I'm willing to draw just yet." She conceded.

The number of people was growing with every car that pulled up. There was an air of expectationi surrounding the crowd, like the last 10 seconds before a bomb detonates. Who knew how this protest might end?

"Not sure everyone is here, the crowd would be a lot bigger," he teased.

[Husk]

"Yeah, we should be careful though, I think I heard of the botherhood members being here. I've already seen one of them." She told him in a serious tone, opposite of his teasing one.

[stjohn]

John had opened his mouth to respond to Siryn, just as he felt a rather firm tap on his shoulder. Slowly turning to look, he visibly winced at the sight of Lucy. "Sh*t-" He mumbled, a hand raised to rake through his hair. "Your not supposed to f*cking be here-"

[jonathon]

The smirk fell from his face. "Where did you see them?" he asked, knowing that this definitely wasn't going to end well if the Brotherhood was at a protest.

[Husk]

Paige looked around but lost sight of where John had been momentarily. "I don't know...I saw him though." She said with a small frown.

[Somebody?]

Lucy:

Lucy's jaw was still clenched, her nostrils flaring in anger. She felt...betrayed by him. "Well I am, and by the way, thanks for telling me about this." She said in a very sarcastic tone.
