"They are," ::Pietro assured her. He had personally seen to it, as he had not known when she would return, but also knew how important they were to her.:: "Are you allowed any pets at all?"

"I'm not sure, I haven't checked that part of the house rules yet," Emily said. "It never even crossed my mind to have a pet in the dorm."

::Pietro nodded slightly to acknowledge that. He had been none too enthusiastic for his brief stint at University, and although she was, it resulted in the same neglect to heavily examine rules regarding housing.:: "When do you move in?"

"I already have," Emily said. "After I became enrolled, I decided to move to New York right away and they allowed me to get a place in the dorm before the classes began."

::That was the opposite of how Pietro had been; he had all but been forced to move. Then again, Uncle had still been recovering from his accident, and Pietro had been unwilling to leave him to his own devices; Wanda had been the same way.:: "If you take visitors, I'd like to see it some time."

"Hm, okay," Emily smiled. "I'll send you a phone message with the address. I'm not exactly planning to have a housewarming but maybe having guests over would help feeling more at home there."

"I'll bring a plant," ::Pietro had a strict custom of what appropriate gifts were. Appliances for marriages and plants for new houses. It brought life to them.::

"That will be a wonderful present," Emily's smile grew. She wasn't sure she could handle a pet or a small aquarium, but a flower would take exactly the amount of care and attention (which she loved to give) that she as a freshman at a university could spare.

::Pietro managed to return a thin smile to hers, and nodded slightly. He would find something worthy.:: "How big is your room?"

"About as big as an average dorm room in the mansion," Emily said. "Minus the high ceilings."

::Pietro had only a vague conception of that, but would need to relearn for Rossignol's room as well.:: "No sunflowers, then."

"I guess not," Emily chuckled. "Maybe a cactus, to match my personality or something."

"Because it stores water?" ::That was the immediate connection Pietro made, as he considered himself far more prickly than Emily was.::

"Er, that didn't cross my mind," Emily admitted. "No, I think because it's not too friendly."

::She was far more friendly than Pietro himself was, and apart from being shy, thought she had nothing against people. He shook his head slightly, to refute that claim.:: "You're friendly, Emily."
