::Xavier shook his head slightly, denying the full extent of her words.:: "Raven, it takes time and volition. Time will do nothing without making the attempt."

"Charles..." Raven said, giving him an almost pleading look. "What do you suggest I do? Forget about you?"

::Xavier sighed quite softly. He had not suggested that, and she should know better.:: "No, of course not. But neither can you let my memory consume you."

Raven stepped forward again, to wrap her arms around Charles, and rest her head on his shoulder. "I can't help it," She admitted. "We spent twelve years together, and it's like half of me has been ripped away."

"I know, Raven," ::Xavier said, wrapping his arm around her. Twelve years was quite the emotional investment, but they had both known he would die before her, with his age and her healing factor.:: "But it has been a year and a half at this point."

Raven sniffed, squeezing him in their embrace. "I just feel so alone, Charles. Every night." Every night she felt that way, going to bed in what truly felt like his room, not hers.

"Which is all the more reason to move on," ::Xavier replied. It would solve the problem of loneliness, if she were to find someone else with whom to share her life.::

"Think you can find a bald telepath for me?" She asked softly. She would give up her healing factor, and a lifetime's worth of happiness for one day with him again.

"Possibly, but that would lead to association and comparison," ::Xavier said. She needed to find someone different, physically and in personality. Not opposite, but merely different.:: "However, I would recommend someone younger with a full head of hair, who is not a telepath."

"I don't think I'm up to it, Charles," Raven admitted. "It will be a while." She knew eventually she would have to move on, but for now, she couldn't help how she felt.

"Remove the blinders," ::Xavier advised. She did not need to begin an active search, but she also should not shut herself off to opportunities that might come.::

Raven massaged his back gently. "I'll try. Some things just remind me of you and I can't stop feeling like I do." In fact, a lot of things reminded her of him.

"That will happen when you live in my ancestrial home and are surrounded by my family," ::Xavier said, and although intended as a humorous comment, it was nothing short of the truth.:: "You still need to look beyond that."

Raven sighed. "It's not just that. I feel you, Charles. All the time, like you never really left. Sometimes it's so strong, I feel almost overwhelmed," She admitted.

"It would make sense that my spirit is here, would it not?" ::Xavier put forth the question, which was the most he could say on the subject. She could not see him whilst awake, and to put that stress on her would only cause more sorrow.::
