(( set after "So what do people do in Central Park?" and "The Sentinels are out there" ))
Michael was sitting on a bench, his arms spread along the back of it, his face turned upwards as he watched the clouds drift across the sky. Every once in a while he would get the illusion that looked as if he was flying above the sky, watching it move under him.
He kept thinking of what happened to him and Maya back in the city when they were attacked. Of why they were attacked; of how they escaped; of how he died and was brought back to life. It felt as if his life had changed in some ways after all that; he couldn't grasp exactly what it was that had changed, but it didn't feel the same anymore.

((Between Rin and Mischief in the dorm and Big Ol' Fancy Like Date))
It was a rather chilly day out which is what made Mischief want to go outside. She had on a comfortable hoody with the name of her high school written in large letters on the front. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she walked out onto the grounds. She saw someone she couldn't recall seeing before and slowly made her way over. "Uh, hi." she said, speaking softly as he had been looking skyward and she didn't want to startle him.

Michael could sense the girl's emotions already at some distance, so her coming over to him didn't surprise him. He turned his head towards her and got up. "Hello," he said.

"So, did you find anything interesting in the clouds?" she asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Not really," Michael said. "A chance for distraction, maybe." He made a small pause and added, "I don't think we've met... I'm Michael."

Mischief smiled softly, "I'm Mischief. It's nice to meet you." she said, sticking her hand out.

Michael shook her hand, nodding. She had a confident air about her, one that was a sure sign she had been a student here for a long time - definitely longer than a month. "I can guess you have probably been here for quite a while already," he said, his words following his senses. "And we haven't actually met. Strange how this place is so big."

"Yeah, I've been here since may. It really is strange, you think you know mostly everyone but I guess not." she said, through a laugh.

"Since May?" Michael asked. "A month longer that me... Are you also learning to control your powers?" If she was, it would be interesting to compare their experience. He rarely discussed it with people around, but nothing in her emotions so far told him that she would object to discussing it, so he decided to give this question a try.

Mischief nodded, with a small smile, "Yeah, I am actually. What powers do you need help with?" she asked, curiously.

"Empathy," Michael responded. "I perceive people's emotions all the time... can't switch it off, and it would be better if I could."

Mischief's smile grew wider, "That's one of my powers too. I can also create illusions in people's minds by making eye contact with them. I can control that alright." she said, with a mild shrug.

"Control both, or just the illusion part?" Michael asked. He got curious - over his time here, he hadn't met another empath, and now he thought that it would have been of big use to his attempts to learn some control.

"My empathy is a bit weaker, I'm trying to make that stronger so hopefully I would only pick up on certain people's emotions at one time. She moved to sit down at the bench, "Why do you need help controlling your empathy?"

Michael sat back down as well. He had already mentioned it briefly, but now decided that it would be better to elaborate a little. "I can constantly sense what other people are feeling," he explained. "I cannot shut those emotions off. And I don't think it's really fair towards other people, they have a right to keep their emotions secret."
