Seeing the exchange between them, and the personal issues they both had to deal with, she began to back away. "I'll leave you two alone," she said stiffly. She would talk to Pietro later, and she would probably talk with Typhoid...when it wasn't so late at night.

She shrugged, trying to keep her wits about her. "Talking's a little useless now. It's over with." Her voice cracked, she coughed quickly. As Wanda took her leave, she said nothing. The woman seemed so...cold.

"In our room," ::Pietro said in agreement with his sister, turning to see her off. As she walked away, he turned once more to Typhoid. He knew Wanda came off cold, stiff just as he did if you didn't know her. She was protective now, as he was of her, and Mary's presence had not been part of how he envisioned Typhoid and Wanda meeting. Those apologies were lost as her voice cracked; that was the last straw for his temper. Her fiance, her ex-fiance, had cheated on her, taken advantage of her trust and good nature, and yet *he* was the one who dared end the relationship? Were they anywhere else, he would show the younger man just what pain could be.:: "Your voice shouldn't break with pain, Typhoid, never."

"I..." His voice sounded supressed to her, as if he held back what he felt. "I shouldn't have said anything, not now." She paused, corrected herself. "Mary shouldn't have said anything." Typhoid couldn't think of a worse time for all this to come to Pietro's attention- while Mary was out, before she'd even had a chance to tell Tim exactly where he could stick it, take out her anger and hurt somehow, without having to express it in front of Pietro. And ESPECIALLY her first time meeting Wanda face to face. At this point, burying herself into a hole sounded like a very good idea.

"It's been said," ::Pietro replied, his attempt to alleviate her guilt over the situation. She had no control over Mary, Wanda would calm herself eventually, and he would remind himself that he couldn't solve all his problems with his fists. Wishing would change nothing, no matter how much she wished Mary hadn't mentioned it, and how much he wished he could do more to help her.:: "If you want to talk about it more, you know where I always am."

"I'd just rather forget him," she admitted quietly.

::Pietro understood that need, but he wasn't sure how easily she could accomplish it. She loved him, said she loved him, forgave him time and again, and had agreed to marry him. He knew Uncle wasn't representative of the normal population, but forgetting wouldn't be easy for her. He also doubted his general suggestion of "vent your anger" would help her, when she feared her power so greatly. He doubted that his presence would even be welcome, with all of pain that had been caused. But they'd agreed to speak honestly with one another, and she needed encouragement.:: "So would I."

"Why would you?" she asked, voicing the first thing that came to her mind. "He's my issue at the moment."

"If I were you, I would," ::Pietro explained, finishing the thought he had tried to express to her. As of right now, he intended to keep her ex-fiance in his long memory, should the opportunity for justice arise.::

"Oh." Ty shook her head at herself. "I think I'm going to go burrow into a very deep hole." If anything, she just wanted to hide. "Or under my bed."

::Pietro couldn't fault her the need to run and hide. With losing her fiance, his infidelity notwithstanding, Mary's conversation, and Wanda's protectiveness, she had good reason to want to slink into the safety of her bed. His impulse was to ask to escort her, but thinking about it from her perspective, he doubted she'd want that.:: "The Danger Room might help."

She shook her head. "Maybe later." Risking actually looking him in the face, she gave a poor attempt at a smile. "I'm just going to go hole up in my room, ok?"

::Pietro had meant for later; his moods often took the form of anger and releasing it helped, usually. She had her own way of coping, but he wished he could tell her she didn't need to be ashamed to meet his eyes.:: "Certainly."

"I'd like to talk, later, if you want," Ty said, not meaning about Tim but not able to bring herself to say it.

::Pietro nodded in assent. If and when she desired to speak, he would make it his highest priority.:: "I'd like that."
