((Thousand apologies if I sound clinical about this later, but like a person with no life I've been doing research on this. )) Typhoid stared at Wanda narrowing her eyes for a split second- being referred to as a "what" was not exactly at the top of her list of compliments. "I have multiple personalities. The one called Mary is...hard to handle." She left the part out about Mary being a separate being from herself- there were some things it wasn't necessary for the entire world to know.

::That was what she had explained to Pietro before, and to the best of his ability, he understood. However, he had only ever been Pietro Maximoff, and didn't know what it was to have a second personality.:: "Is there something we can do about her for now?"

Ty shook her head, an expression on her face that could only be described as mildly amused regret. "She keeps me from killing what I touch, Pietro. If anyone did anything, I'd lose that."

She nodded, still not quite sure she fully understood.

Ty arched an eyebrow at the look on Wanda's face. "Something wrong?"

"It's just..." She paused. "I'm not sure I understand. How does 'Mary' allow you to touch people, when you normally cannot?"

Normally, Ty would have told her to mind her own business. But this was also Pietro's sister, and she had little intention of starting a deliberate fight with her, for his sake. So...she humored her, for now. "I had a personality named Mary, a long time ago. That personality was taken over by another mutant, a...well...a dead one. She inhabits me...and she's not exactly the nicest of people. She is the only thing between my skin and a lot of death." Ty folded her arms, wondering how all this was going to be taken.

She took it all in, absorbing the information. It took a long moment of silence, but she shrugged. "I've heard of stranger things. But at least you have control, right?" To not be able to touch would kill her. She craved touch on a constant basis.

"Of touch, yes. Of her, not hardly." She spread her hands. "As you saw."

::Pietro did not like in the slightest that Mary had such control over Typhoid, to be able to ruin her life by impersonating her. But it was a price Typhoid was willing to pay for the touch she craved so dearly, and he could not fault her for that. They all made their choices and lived with them. The pain of Mary's words, about the engagement being broken off, rose followed by that same protective anger.:: "I would not want to rob you of touch, so I will leave her be."

She nodded, then looked to Pietro, as if questioning what he would do about it, should a future relationship actually happen.

Ty's brow furrowed; Pietro's reaction was...odd. "Pietro...you'd have to hurt me to hurt her."

::Pietro shook his head once. Being raised by gypsies left him with a knowledge of mysticism. There was nothing he could do, but there were those who could. He hadn't believed in their abilities for years, but then again, he'd hadn't believed in ghosts and possession either. He'd already agreed to do nothing, which meant seeking no one.
He caught Wanda's look and returned it with one of his own, meaning they would talk later. He turned his eyes back to Typhoid.:: "I couldn't hurt you."

Ty's expression softened, but she was still confused: if he didn't intend to hurt her, what would he do? She wiped the thought from her mind, merely saying "I know." A thought occurred to her. "If it gets too bad, knocking me out does work." Tim had done so before, and as shaky as she felt, part of her took refuge in discussing the ways to prevent Mary hurting anyone. Tim's abandonment and Mary's lashing out shook her more then she'd realized until that minute.

"I'll remember that," ::Pietro promised but he was reluctant to lay hands on her. In a battle scenario, if it was necessary, perhaps but otherwise it would be difficult. As happened with his thoughts so often, he switched to another matter, concern for her overriding that part of himself he'd trained to slow.:: "Do you want to talk about what happened?"
