((Set right after the most recent posts in "Odin's Apartment"))
Now on the streets of New York City with Odin, Paige wondered if it was such a good idea to be walking right now. It was hot outside after all. "Man, this weather is crazy lately. One day it's cold and the next it's hot." She said to Odin as she continued to walk down the street with him, glad that she had worn a tank top and a pair of capris.

::Odin was dressed as he usually was, which apart from jackets, rarely changed based on weather conditions. His sleeves were rolled up to his forearms, which were the only concession to the temperature.:: "Par for the course recently. The left blames global warming and the right blames mutants."

Paige looked over at him as he spoke, scoffing when he said people blamed mutants. "We're always blamed for everythin' if somethin' doesn't go the way they want it to." She said sourly.

::Odin nodded in agreement; it was an unfortunate fact of life.:: "It's what happens when we're a feared minority group."

"I doubt we're going to be the minority for much longer." Paige predicted.

::They had made it to the end of the block, and Odin changed direction, going left instead of straight. There was a park they could go to, and they could try to track down a Mister Softee truck as well.:: "By number, perhaps, but women are still a minority group, and you outnumber us."

"That's true." Paige said with a nod, "Though I don't know why, we're so much cooler." The blonde said, of course just kidding. To prove that fact she bumped her elbow into his, a cheeky grin on her face.

"History and fear," ::Odin's reply was immediate. If women could function without men, they lost automatic footing, the same was with race, religion, sexual preferences or species. A sad truth about society, particularly humans.
Her elbow knocked his, and he turned to look at her. She grinned, and he smirked.:: "Besides, men don't like playing knight in shining armor with one another."

Paige laughed at his comment, snorting, her face went beat red immediatly and she covered her face with her hands. 'Way to humilate yourself, Paige.' She thought to herself.

::Odin noticed her color change; she was a blusher. He was pale, became flushed easily, but had taught himself not to blush as years went by. It had become difficult to fluster him without some sort of chemical to induce it. The smirk remained on his lips.:: "Surely I'm not that funny."

Peering through her fingers, Paige slowly took her hands away from her face. "Shut up." Paige squeaked out, her face still red slightly.

::Her squeaked defense only made Odin's smirk widen, although he didn't laugh.:: "I'll try not to tease."

"Good." Paige said as she fixed her bangs idly.

::Odin remained silent for the moment, letting her compose herself, while they continued to walk in the direction of the park.::

"Where are we goin'?" Paige asked, still not used to this City.
