"Fine," she said, leaning back into the chair. "And I won't tell any of my 'adventures', either." She winked at him.

"You don't have to," ::Odin said nonchalantly. Not that he wouldn't want to listen to a good story, but not at the price of quid pro quo.::

She raised an eyebrow, looking at him as he tried to sound nonchalant and cool about it. "Although I have to say, telepaths are fun, especially when combined with my talents," she commented lightly.

::A number of possibilities flooded Odin's mind at her comment, and the smirk found its way back his lips. The two powers in tandem lent themselves to any fantasy that could be imagined.:: "I'd have to say so. Those without such luxuries find a way to improvise."

She nodded. "It's very satisfying, especially when pregnancy hormones make me crazy," she explained.

::From that comment Odin surmised that she hadn't exaggerated about needing friends; he doubted she could tell many others that without meeting with disgust. He didn't say that; he saw no reason to.:: "You'll need to get as much in before the six week celibacy."

She smiled. "Yes, well, I think I'll be too busy feeling sore and tired, with a newborn on our hands." She was glad she could tell things like this to someone other than Charles; it was different, like when she'd be able to confide in Typhoid.

"If you intend to be a good mother, you will. Or you can drop the infant off with a relative and let them shoulder most of the burden, leading them to resent the child, and leaving the child with emotional scarring that only years of therapy will solve," ::Odin suggested, his tone trapped between humor and severity. Removing his glasses from his face, he began to wipe them with a tissue from his pocket.:: "I'd recommend against it."

She rolled her eyes. "Like I have any intention of doing that...no matter what Magneto seems to think." The words left her mouth before she could even think to hold them back; why was she sharing this with Odin?

::Odin breathed on his glasses to better wipe them, but stopped mid-breath at her comment. He'd gathered she and Magneto had been lovers. It was more the trouble in paradise combined with the fact she'd spoken with the infamous Brotherhood leader recently.:: "Is he here?"

She nodded, her face slightly grim-looking. "He's here, under this very roof. And he's already tried to seduce me, and win me back over to his Cause."

"Who wouldn't want you on his side?" ::Odin asked, though he took note of the grim-looking expression, undoubtedly the look of love long lost. His own expression was far more appreciative; he knew his eyes must have lit up briefly at the thought that Magneto was on the same premises. That thought crashed down when he realized his sense was off, as he should have been able to notice long before. Replacing the glasses on his nose, he closed his eyes and tried to focus briefly on that spectacular X-factor.::

She rolled her eyes. "All I want is for him to leave, immediately." Erik could go toy with his little pawns somewhere else, for all she cared at the moment.

::Odin was able to sense Magneto's X-factor, as impressive as he thought it would be, and yet managed to keep his composure. It was a skill, one he had cultivated for years and proved useful time after time. Eyes opened, focused on her.:: "In the coming war, you might need him."

"Even if we might, I still don't want him anywhere near my child," she said firmly, a hand rubbing her stomach. Whether it was for comfort, or out of anxiousness, even she didn't know.
