Typhoid sat out in the grounds, as she often did now, reading a book, swinging in a porch swing. It was the first time she'd actually become totally absorbed in one in quite a long time, no distractions, no other voices in her mind. Wrapped in a long coat and her feet covered with a blanket against the chill of autumn, she turned pages quickly, devouring the story.

"Hey there." Mystique had seen Ty on the porch swing through the window, grabbed her coat, and headed outside. She hadn't spoken with the other woman in awhile, and figured they were both due for a chat.

Ty looked up, blinking away the book world she'd been caught in. "Hey," she greeted, and nodded at her stomach with a grin. "Almost time."

She nodded, smiling as she rubbed her stomach tenderly. "I could burst at any time now...literally," she joked. She felt like a beached whale with this stomach.

"Oy, mental imagery," Ty said, playfully grimacing.

She laughed. "May I sit here?" She asked pointing to the seat next to Ty.

Ty moved her legs and swung herself around to clear a space. "Anything new besides the baby status?" she asked.

She sat down, shaking her head. "No...after we finished setting up the nursery, everyone's just waiting for the baby," she said. "My due date is days away...I can't begin to tell you how excited I am."

"Is the Professor?" she asked. She hadn't seen him around in quite awhile.

She nodded. "I don't think words exist for how excited he is, Ty." And that was the truth. He was constantly checking on her, and the baby, concerned for her or the baby's health, should something happen before the due date.

"I'm glad," she said simply. After everything that had happened, some of it involving her and some not, she could imagine he needed something to be looking forward to.

She smiled softly. "I'm happy that this is where things led to, Ty. I really am. And I think we both feel that way." Neither of them had expected this, but it had led to the slow, steady building of their family.

"I am too, I just wish we could've skipped a little of the drama," she said, chuckling a little more in humor then a desire to pick at old issues.

She gave a small laugh. "What I wouldn't give to have skipped a lot of all the drama..."

Ty laughed aloud. "Ok, yeah, that too."
