"Okay," Michael nodded briefly. He asked himself if it was really an unusual thing for a girl not to care about, or whether he was just thinking in stereotypes. "Then, I guess, me caring about your fingertips wouldn't make any sense, either," he added.

"Then you shouldn't," Michael said. Not procrastinating was to him the same as not lying, and usually he did neither. He never hurried, but it didn't mean he was likely to put things off.
He got up and offered Maya his hand to help her get up as well. "Let's go?"
