Ororo knew it was midweek, but she didn't care. Sometimes a break from the Mansion was a necessary thing, and this time around she chose to have a drink in a small bar in the city, close, relatively quiet at the early hour that it was, and cheap. It was a better place to sit and think, though she attracted a little attention with her white hair. She sat at the bar, staring into a glass of beer.

Logan had to admit, despite his love for Canada, New York had some damn good bars and after being back in America for a few days, it was time to pay a visit to his usual watering holes. Helping himself (discreetly) to a motorcycle out of the garage, Logan was soon on his way towards the city, intending to have a long night out and acclimate himself once again. After passing through a few bars along the edge of Manhattan, he made his way into his next stop. He strolled inside, eyes scanning the environment. His eyes caught the back of an ivory haired head, and whilst that in itself was unusual, it was even more unusual that it was the only woman he knew which such hair. Arching an eyebrow, he tread further into the bar, coming alongside the weather witch in a casual fashion. He did not yet greet her, instead asking for a beer from the barman.

Storm heard and recognized the gravely voice immediately; there were few people she knew that had that "don't sh!t with me" inflection in thier voice nearly constantly. "Stole Scott's bike again, did you?" she asked, not looking at him either, instead taking a long drink of her beer.

"Might have," said Logan airily as he paid for his beer, then taking a seat on the vacant stool besides her. The bar wasn't too busy, which was ideal since Logan didn't feel like bothering with crowds. "Since when did you come out drinking?"

She chuckled, the sound a little sour. "There's a lot you don't know about what I used to be like before teaching," she said, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, yeah?" he queried at that remark, raising an eyebrow as he tipped the bottle slightly to take a swig from the contents.

"Yeah," she replied, and didn't volunteer much more, smiling into her drink as she took another swallow.

Logan left it at that, not about to start pushing her into divulging things about her past. He more than anyone knew how secretive people wanted and sometimes needed to be. He leaned further against the bar, taking another drink before he glanced side-long at her. "Did y'come down here alone?"

She nodded. "Yes, but I don't mind the company. Just trying to drink a couple problems away."

Logan observed her curiously at this remark. He had never quite seen Storm as a woman with problems, not as such that she'd want to drink to try and forget about them. "Well, then. You've got me now."

"As company or a problem?" she said, smirking.

Logan glanced towards her with a slow smirk. "Whatever you see me as," he replied.

She leaned back in her chair. "Now that depends. You intend to use those claws of yours?"

"Only if I have to," he responded, with a note of dry humour.

A crash and a scuffle sounded outside. Storm's eyebrows rose. "Timing," she said, her tone equally dry.
