::Pietro shrugged slightly; it seemed to him there were only two options. To let her go, or to try to win her back. If he wanted her, then he should work on whatever led to their break up, including of disposing of Gambit.:: "You have your answer. If you want her back, we need to get her back."

Scott made a little noise. It was difficult to tell if it was a humph, a laugh or a cry. It kind of sounded like all three. Scott always thought things through before doing them. Cautious. But Pietro was the opposite. Impulsive. Jean said she was stuck that everything was the same. Maybe...maybe he needed to be more like Pietro. But that wasn't what came out of his mouth.
"How do you propose that?"

::More advice than Pietro had business giving, if he stopped to think it over. How many women had he won back in his lifetime? This was not about him, it was about Scott and Jean, and that was a goal worth dedicating himself. He was still iffy on the details, so he would need to be vague.:: "Either a grand romantic gesture, or opening yourself up."

Scott shook his head. "I've tried the grand romantic gesture. I've tried to open up more. I don't think either of them helped." He finally sighed, and hung his head down, still holding the bottle of Vodka. "Teach me to be more like you."

::One silver eyebrow rose towards Pietro's hairline, hearing Scott's request. Nobody had ever asked such a thing of him before, and he was taken aback.:: "Why would you want that?"

Scott sighed. "Because we are opposites. She said she felt 'trapped', and let's face it, I'm not exactly easy to break from routines." Alto of that had to deal with the time he spent Blind, that and spending a few years on Military bases. "You rarely seem to have them, either because you finish them so quickly that no one even notices, or because you can't. You'd get board to easy. Which is most likely because of your power. Yet, maybe you can still teach me something."

::Pietro lifted his bottle of vodka, taking another quick drink. He had few routines, that was true, although his infamous boredom had become less severe with age. If he could slow himself, if he could find stability, it would be a miracle. Despite it all, a thin smile touched his lips.:: "You want to be more like me because I have mutant ADHD?"

Scott laughed, and took another swig. "No. I guess I just need to loosen up a little bit." He shrugged. "It doesn't matter anyway, she'll probably get back together with Gambit."

::Between sips, Pietro briefly considered reassuring Scott that she would not. He stopped himself, realizing it would be empty. He had not seen Jean since returning; he knew nothing of the situation, and knew only slightly more about Gambit. Scott was in a far better position to make predictions.
He realized the irony of advising Scott to loosen up, considering his own stiff mannerisms. It wa almost as ironic as giving romantic advice, considering his abyssmal history. To help Scott, he would need a different tactic.:: "Never say die."

"That seems to be the X-Mens motto these days." Scott said as a reponse, grinning. "We should get our uniforms to say that." His words were starting to slur a bit as well. Scott took another swing of Vodka, not even paying attention to the fact that he had drunk nearly half the bottle.

::Pietro noticed that Scott's speech had alreay slurred. He did not have anywhere near the tolerance that Wanda had, and Pietro resigned himself to possibly having to carry the other man up to his bedroom later. He took another swig of his own vodka, and tried to redirect the question away from death, or the lack of it.:: "Cover her bed with roses."

"Doing a big romanticgesture doesn't solve much." Scott responded taking another swig of the vodka. "Fundimental problem won'tbe solvedby doing it. Whatdo I do afterthat?" Scott slured his way through it. The vodka was working its magic well.

::Pietro nodded and sipped his vodka again. If communication was the problem, communication would need to solve it. As for opposites, he did not consider Jean and Scott to be opposites, unless she had changed more than he could imagine.:: "When you are sober, leave her a note to tell her you want to talk."

"What do we talk about Pietro?" Scott asked, sounding completely sober for a moment. "We've talked about so much...and about nothing. We both want to be together...but it just isn't working." He took a very long swig of the Vodka.

::Pietro's expression sobered, his voice became even more serious. He sympathized with Scott's dispair, and he took no amusement in the irony of this situation. That Pietro, who had succeeded only in losing the woman he cared for, would be the one to help Scott communicate with Jean. Perhaps he cared too much.:: "Tell her how this is destroying you, how you love her. Find a way to compromise with her, to be a little more spontaneous."
