Jubilee kept them going, allowing long steams of sparks to dance across the surface of the pool, admist brighty, dazzling reflections.

InShe gave Jamie a short look and said "Interesting to see, how they celebrate the independence day." Then she looked back to the firework, it was very special.

"Only comes around once a year," Jamie said. "Might as well let it end with a bang." He smiled, remembering years back in Louisiana.

"Yeah, I know" she said with a nod "But, I never could celebrate it and I did not know that with the firework." She was thinking, which special days would be celebrate in Germany. Her mind was closed for the moment and she did not really want to think about it, just enjoying the firework. So far it was possible for her.

All those sparks that have drifted off suddenly gain energy and dart back upward into the sky, as though racing each other to reach the highest point as they are drawn together. As soon as those sparks meet, Jubilee is able to finish the display with one collosal explosion, a shuddering 'BOOM!' of multicoloured sparks dancing in the blaze of one enormous firework.
As the last of the sparks faded off, Jubilee sliped out of the tree with a titter. "Woo, that was a rush," she said, wobbling slightly.

As the last firework went out, she turned back to Jamie and said "You are a good grill master." She winked him an eye.

Jubilee wandered over towards the BBQ where Jamie and Wing were stood. "That was fun," she said with a giggle, seemingly light headed after that exertion.

Mystique had been holed up in the library again, for the third day in a row. She couldn't find anything on Wideawake, again, and it was frustrating. She'd taken a short lunch break, and had contemplated going outside for a burger, but the thought of being outside with all the X-Men, the Maximoff twins, and other students who disliked her was somewhat...unsettling. Especially after they had all reacted with outrage and hatred at Charles' announcement that they were engaged.
As the sun set in the distance, she came outside, keeping her distance from the group, yet still able to watch the fireworks. She was wearing a navy t-shirt and jeans, and was virtually invisible, now that it was darker. Save for her yellow cat-like eyes. As the fireworks began to go off in glittery, bright bursts, she watched them in awe, leaning against a tree trunk.

"We have traditional fireworks as well, but as Jubilee seems to enjoy her one-woman show," ::Xavier said to Remy with a smile, watching as Jubilee's fireworks lit up the sky. Feeling a familiar mental presence, he excused himself from Shona, Remy, and Shade, and wheeled across the grounds towards a particular tree. Stopping beside it, he reached out his hand to touch her stomach.:: "How are you both this evening?"

She smiled as he approached, and put a hand over his as he rested it on her stomach. "We're fine, just out to enjoy the fireworks. I haven't seen a fireworks display in a few years," she admitted. "How are you?"

"I'm well. The students enjoyed themselves, although there was a notorious absence of my eldest children," ::Xavier replied. Ororo, he knew, was still upset about the wedding news, even after his update; although she hadn't made it rain. Jean and Hank were nowhere to be found, and the twins were no doubt brooding somewhere. Scott, bless him, had made the attempt to mingle. Otherwise, Xavier would call the barbecue a success.::

She smiled wryly. "I noticed it hadn't rained all day," she remarked. That was a good thing. Perhaps Storm was...calming down, at least a little? A particularly loud firework made her return her attention to the fireworks, bright purple ones exploding now. They really were beautiful.
