Brady looked to the screen on the ultrasound machine and watched as her little boy moved around a bit. The doctor pressed a button on the machine taking a picture of the baby at this stage for them, leaving the screen a motionless image. He then started to gently wipe the gel off of Brady stomach. Brady looked back to Kevin and squeezed his hand with a grin on her lips as the doctor started to tell them about when the next appointment should be.

Kevin thought he might use a chance to ask while they were still at it. The doctor was, Kevin was almost certain of that, aware of the fact that Brady was a mutant, merely by looking at her eyes, so the question wouldn't seem weird. "Doctor, beside the fact that it's a boy," he said, "are there any other, er, things that can be said about the baby right now? Like, is he well-developed? Is there anything unusual about him, or any other stuff of that kind?"

At Kevin's questions, Brady looked to the doctor expectantly.
The Doctor smiled at the both of them, "There is nothing unusual, as of yet. Your son is still growing. I've seen no sign of mutation but that doesn't mean he won't evolve by the time of the your next appointment or even by the time of the birth. With patients, such as yourself, you never know what to expect or when." The doctor was a man that didn't distest mutants he thought they were people just like himself, but more evolved.

"Okay," Kevin shrugged with a slightly shy smile. As the doctor started to fill out some forms in the computer, Kevin finished helping Brady to clean the gel off her belly. "I guess that was all I wanted to know."

Once the gel was off, Brady pulled her shirt back over her belly and looked at Kevin. Smiling, she took his hand and brought it to her lips, kissing his knuckles.

"Well, your wife will definitely return for a later check-up, so we promise to keep you updated," the doctor chuckled, turning to glance at them as he handed them a sonogram.
Kevin kissed Brady on the cheek and helped her to get up from the chair. They thanked the doctor and left the office.

Getting to the car, Brady got into the passenger seat, with some of Kevin's help, and then put on her seatbelt. Grinning, she was looking at the sonogram that the doctor had taken of her little boy. She couldn't believe it. A boy. She knew she was going to have a boy. At least she speculated that she was going to have a boy. She was beyond thrilled and overly excited and wanted to pick out a name.

Kevin got in the car as well and, starting it, glanced at happy Brady, grinning as well. "I'm beginning to wonder whether you'll ask to have it framed and put up on the wall," he said while he pulled out from the hospital's parking lot.

Brady laughed, "I actually was going to, " She said turning her head to look at Kevin, with a playful smile, "We need to pick out a name." She stated.

"That'll be no to Luca right away," Kevin replied. "Let's see... Edward, Sam... Mark is also good."

"We can toss a coin, then," Kevin said. "I really can't choose. Or maybe if we get any weird ideas about some name symbolism or something, which I doubt will happen, but still..."

"Alright. Sounds goods, love." Brady said, smiling softly and leaned her head back against the head rest. Closing her eyes and thinking.
