Shade laughed when she heard him and kicked her heels again. "C´mon." she murmured to the horse. "Let´s get them, that´s a piece of cake." She let lose the reins and the stallion stretched once more, now galloping at full speed. After a moment of head to head, Shade was past them and let out a triumphant cry.

Again, Shade out an enthusiastic laugh. Looking back at him over her shoulder, she grinned. "Whoever talked about fair play?" she shouted teasingly, referring to his own words, galloping on with same speed.

"Was worth a try!" Gambit exclaimed, making his horse go faster to catch up with Shade.

Shade grinned at him, chuckling, then turned her attention back to riding, guiding the horse along a long, wide slope towards the clearing they had been approaching earlier. It was a good bit of gallop till they reached it and when they did she felt she had to urge the stallion to stay in gallop, so she slowed the animal down when they had reached it, just a very short bit ahead of Gambit and let the horse come to a hold. "You lost, cowboy." she said, turning the horse, grinning at him.

Shade gave him a broad smile and directed her horse closer to Gambit so she could lean over to him in the saddle and kiss him. "In this case..." she said after breaking away after a moment. "you didn´t lose at all.

Shade deepened the kiss , reaching out with one hand to touch Gambit´s cheek. After a moment, her horse moved its head, stubbornly trying to get to move again and reach some of the grass nearby. Shade broke away with a half annoyed chuckle, reining back the horse. "All right you nuisance." she said, patting the stallion´s back, then jumped off. "Go, have your grass."

Gambit followed her example, dismounting. He left his horse and walked away, tossing his sneakers off as he went and feeling the grass with his bare feet.

As her horse showed no intention of trodding off but immidiately devoted its attention to the grass, she bound the reins to the saddle knob so the animal had enough range but wouldn´t tread on it and did a few steps towards a nice, grassy patch, tossing off her sneakers as well, wriggling her toes. She had always liked to run barefeet during summer, be it in sand or grass.

After walking a few feet, Gambit turned around and fell onto his back, throwing his arms wide. He stared into the sky. "I'm a helluva lazy employee," he remarked.

Shade walked over, stood over him and tipped his shoulder gently with a toe. "Really you are." she said with a grin before she let herself drop next to him. "Now where does that put the Gambit who said Gambit doing nothing feels weird?"

Shade ruffled his hair affectionately and mirrored the grin. "People who are terribly busy deserve a break at times." she stated and looked up at the sky as well.
