Absently, Shade let her fingers run along his. It was one of these moments in which she felt completely comfortable with him but in which it was clear to her how much more difficult emotions were to Gambit then they were to her. Maybe it was just her viewpoint but she found it hard to imagine to be in his stead. His thoughts had to be a chaos at times - or well pushed back.
She turned her head to frame his face with her right hand, the side she was wearing the bracelett and gently kissed the corner of his mouth - not from sexual desire, but just because it felt like a good thing to do at that moment.

Gambit smiled, not responding to the kiss because he saw it as her own sign of affection not requiring any actual feedback.

Shade liked it when he smiled like that. It was different from his typical flirtatious smirk or boyish grin; it looked good on him and she just enjoyed watching him when he did that. She withdrew a little and leant her head against his chest. "There it is again", she said, her eyes looking nowhere in particular. "Another one of those freeze frame moments."

Shade could help but laugh at that. She poked Gambit´s shoulder. "You know I didn´t mean that." she said with a chuckle. "Although..." she made a thoughtful face. "If you prefer I could talk and talk and talk... bet that would be annoying after a moment."

She lowered her eyes at him, feigning a threat. "I can be a terrible ramber." she said. "Like when I´m hyper, just it doesn´t stop that quickly."

Shade looked up at him with a grin and an approving nod. "Oh, I hope so." she said. She preferred it like that. Gambit had never told her to shut up, but she had no doubt about his words. Jason had been different and she inwardly rolled her eyes at the memory.

Gambit smirked, leaning down to the side and making Shade fall almost to the ground in the hold of his arm. He fixed his gaze on her, still smirking. "I do, actually."
