Discovering the grounds (transferred)

NIGHTCRAWLER
It was a warm day and Kurt had felt like discovering the grounds. This however, didn´t mean that he would wander around, but rather that he had settled at a cool spot in the shadow of the mansion walls. Sitting his back against the wall, he watched the grounds in front of him, his thoughts drifting. For the first time in weeks, he felt safe.

NIGHT
hello , are you new in Westchester?

NIGHTCRAWLER
He was slightly started when someone adressed him. Turning his head, he saw a young woman had walked up to him.
"Yes." he said. "Yes I am."

"Gabbi sounds nice." he replied, looking up to her with a smile. "I am Kurt Wagner..." He was about to add the line he had liked so much, about the Berlin Circus, but didn´t. NIGHT

NIGHTCRAWLER
"Ja." he said with a nod. "I just arrived here. I asked the professor if I could stay."

NIGHT
I am sure that it will admit you, he is a good guy

NIGHTCRAWLER
"He has been very friendly." Kurt said. "I talked to him already."

NIGHT
Yes, it is very friendly, - he said thinking what it was difficult to him to entrust in the people. Even, sometimes he was distrusting him.- She could not to avoid. - Your skin- .... is beatiful. - she admired the beautiful tattooes that he had in his blue face

NIGHTCRAWLER
He was surprised she would say something like this and gave her a shy smile. "Danke." he said in a low voice, unconsciously falling back into his mother tongue.

NIGHTCRAWLER
This was a very straight forward question and he felt he was not too comfortable with it.
"I did them" he therefore just said. She didn´t know so Kurt didn´t blame her. She seemed curious and friendly which felt good in contrast to the looks he normally got. "A time ago."

NIGHT

NIGHTCRAWLER
He looked at her and smiled a little. "It is okay." he said. "Don´t worry."

NIGHT
She concentrated on the rosary that was hanging by his vest

"Of course" he gave back.

She might have spotted the rosary he figured and nodded. "I am" he said.

NIGHT
She smiled and extracted the silver crucifix that she had hung on his neck.

NIGHTCRAWLER
He followed her motion and smiled. "It good to believe in something" he said. "It can give you strength."

NIGHT

"Are you a teacher here?"
She looked quite young, in her mid twenties maybe, but she might be too old for a student. And he remembered that the school had rather young teachers. Which again reminded him of Ororo Monroe. ´She will be overjoyed to see you´ the professor had been sure. He had liked her a lot and decided to look for her later. After what the professor had said this had to mean she was still teaching here.

NIGHT
Not , I am not a teacher here. I help the doctor McCoy of the laboratory. I am studying in the university of Columbia medicine, until it does not approve two subjects that I have left, I will not be officially a doctor. But I am present at some classes in Westchester .... sometimes it is very difficult for me, for whom I am the oldest pupil of the school. And I dont know for which Xavier has admitted me.

NIGHTCRAWLER
So she was a student of sorts and helping out in the lab.
"I see" he said. "It sounds nice." He looked at the grounds for a moment, his tail lazily moving to curl around his feet. "Is Miss Monroe still teaching here? And Miss Grey?" he then asked.

NIGHT
She looked with a smile at the tail of Kurt that seemed that it was dancing and answered him:
-Ororo if it is in Westchester, but Jean is not.

NIGHTCRAWLER
He briefly wondered why Jean wasn´t here, but he might ask Storm later.
"Thank you." he said. "I met them.. it´s a while ago, but I would like to see them and say hello."

NIMROD
::Nicholas came along a wall listening to the conversation as he got closer.::
"Miss Monroe is around. maybe in her classroom doing paperwork, and Miss Grey is teaching here but has not shown up to have her first class yet. Hello I am Nicholas Hunter, or some call me Nimrod. Pleased to meet you."
::He held out a hand to Kurt.::

NIGHTCRAWLER
He turned his head when he heard a second voice and reached his three fingered hand to shake the hand of the new arrival. This school seemed to be a busy place. "Kurt Wagner." he said. "Nice to meet you. And thank you."

NIGHT
what powers have you, Kurt?

NIGHTCRAWLER
"I am a teleporter" he said, looking at her.

NIGHT
woooowwwwww!!!! this is fantastic!!!! - said allucinated

NIGHTCRAWLER
He smiled at her enthusiam. "I need to see where I am going though" he admitted. "So it´s not without limits."

NIGHT
ohhh .... any day did you me may teletransportar with you? It would be an experience that he would never forget....

NIGHTCRAWLER
She was very straight forward indeed and Kurt had to find he had been along for a long time... long enough to realise he would have to get used to company again. But he nodded.
"I can do that." he said with a smile.

NIGHT
Danke sehr viel Kurt .

NIGHTCRAWLER
He wondered if she had placed his accent. Maybe she had just sorted those few words he had used before to be German.
"Bitte schön." he said.

NIGHT
she laughted saying;
-Oh ... German is not mine ....

NIGHTCRAWLER
"It means ´you´re welcome´" he explained to her.
"And what is it you can do?"

NIGHT
Do you refer to my power?

NIGHTCRAWLER
He nodded. "Yes." he said, hoping he had not touched a sensible subject.
"You don´t have to tell if you don´t want to."

NIGHT
I do not want that you are of me afraid if I you it say Kurt. - said worried

NIGHTCRAWLER
"How could I be afraid of you?" he asked, slight surprise in his voice.
"I am used to people being afraid of me when they see me."

NIGHT
She knew that she was right, but not her he was not scaring his aspect .... - you are right. Excuse me Kurt .....- stay in silence in a few seconds and he said to him; - I am a telepathist and I can control the metal...

NIGHTCRAWLER
His eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"That´s interesting" he said. "But I can imagine it must be hard at times... knowing what people think around you. Looks can be cruel, thought even more so."

NIGHT
If sometimes they are cruel. But I try not to lose the control with my power. I am not like Xavier and Lensherr, they are a few authentic teachers of the control. I am a mere aficionada. - it was she who said with a smile.

NIGHTCRAWLER

I s the bad part that we have the telepathists. The things cannot be change, that's why I am more distant with the persons. But allow me to say to yourself that it should like to have your power that the gifts that I have.

NIGHTCRAWLER
He looked at his hands in thought. "But it is easier for you to seem like anyone else." he said. "You can walk among them and they will not give you these looks." He concentrated for a moment and the colour of his face changed for that of an ordinary human. "I can never really hide and seem normal." he said. "Not with the skin and eyes and all."

NIGHT
For me, you are normal, Kurt. - she took one of his hoofs and looked at it with a calmed look.

NIGHTCRAWLER
It seemed to have been a good idea to come to this place after all he thought. He was among other mutants here and noone would give him odd looks. Or at least most of them hopefully. He was still a little nervous about meeting others. Even if the children going to school here were mutants, they might shrink back from him at first sight... they usually did, before they got used to him.
He watched her examine his foot while he used the tip of his tail to scratch himself behind the left ear.

NIGHT
She when she saw as the ear was scratching with his tail him smiled.
- The one who looks at you with fear, is that one that he does not know as you are actually.

NIGHTCRAWLER
He shortly had to think back at the time when he had not know what was happening to him, when there had been blackouts of memory shortly before Jean and Storm had found him. He had feared them first and he was sure, many had feared him at this time as well, but this had never been his intent.
"It is like this always." he said. "People fear what they do not know."

NIGHT

If, it is true, but we cannot do anything that's why. It is difficult to the human beings to admit what we are, but I am sure that in a future, the fear will disappear, the human will acepted at us. - Really, she was feeling positiv. - It hears, I should have studied Psychology, be in Westchester it makes you look at the life with more psychology and filosofy. - she joked with to smiled

NIGHTCRAWLER
He returned the smile and looked ahead of him. "Yes, maybe." he said.
"I´m sure we just need to go on hoping. One day, things will be better."

NIGHT
Im sure Kurt..... Im sure..... We all hope that some day this sleep should be made a reality....

NIGHTCRAWLER
These were hard times, he had said so to the professor as well, but seeing people like these made him feel hope was not forsaken. The emergence of the cure had scared him, but also been tempting. Be normal, no longer being viewed as a demon, but something inside him had understood that everybody had his own cross to bear. He would have felt that it was wrong to run from what was destined for him.
He nodded.

NIMROD
"There may be a technological solution for you being able to go out in public, maybe a holographic emiter system. I'll lok into it. See you later Kurt, Gabrielle."

NIGHTCRAWLER
He didn´t really know what to reply to that. One part on him was curious, the other, had begun to take to heart what he himself had thought would be best and what Mystique had once told him when he had ask her why not to stay in disguise all the time... beucase she shouldn´t have to.
"Auf Wiedersehen, Nicholas" he said with a small smile.

NIGHT
Bye Nim ....-say goodbye of with a gesture of his hand . - How long you are going to remain in Westchester? Do you go away to stay already forever?

NIGHTCRAWLER
"I don´t know." he said. "Forever is a long word."
He had always been a kind of free spirit, at least since he had come to America. Maybe, however, this had been because he had felt unaccepted and alone with himself. Maybe things would change, now he had come to the institute again.
"I think I´ll stay for a while. Nobody knows what will be."

NIGHT
Since I hope that you should be in Westchester for many time. - declared without eliminating the smile of his lips.

NIGHTCRAWLER
He smiled shily back at her. "For now I stay" he said.

NIGHT
Well, the important thing is that you are here, and insurance that you will spend it to yourself very well, there are the very good people in Westchester,

"Everybody I met so far had been very nice." he said "And I am sure the rest is as well."

NIGHT

He gave her a curious look, then nodded. "Yes."

have you parents?

NIGHTCRAWLER
This was a strange question.
"Everybody has, right?" he asked.
"I don´t remember mine. I was raised in the Munich Circus, but there everybody was sort of parents for me."

NIGHT
I´m sorry.- said sadnees

NIGHTCRAWLER
He shook his head, while his tail drew a pattern into the sandy path to his feet.
"It´s a long time ago. I never knew my mother or father. And the people from the circus were both to me. It was a good time."

NIGHT
ohh .. then are you an artist, not? The truth is that in the circus, the life you must have been very hard..

NIGHTCRAWLER
"I liked it." he said truthfully. Back then, life had been easier. "it is...a different life. You never stay at the same place. But then, that´s what I am, too."

NIGHT
