This is The Grounds...
Post by Seer on Jun 30, 2007, 5:29pm
Seer walked out onto the grounds with Odin. Glancing at him every so often. Still amazed that she could actually see him.

::Douglas followed her outside onto the vast grounds, far larger than he'd thought at first. Mystique had led him directly to that office, not allowing him time to measure. It was incredible, what could be done with enough land and money.:: "Where to first?"

Seer smiled, "The Pool." She said with a small nod, "You have to know where the pool is." She told him and grabbed his arm, gently, taking him towards the pool. Once there she stopped, "And here it is." She stated, not letting go of his arm.

::Douglas followed her, slipping his arm from her grasp. Being pulled in that manner made him feel confined. But he replaced his arm with his hand, taking hers. The pool was large, refreshing; it wasn't surprising that a place of this magnitude would have one.:: "If we have to start here, I take it you swim?"

Seer couldn't help, but grin as his hand took hers, "Yeah, every once in a while," she told him and turned slightly to look at him, "Ready to go find the stables?" She asked.

::Douglas quirked an eyebrow. Stables. Of course there were stables. They were in the middle of one of the richest parts of the country.. What self-repecting aristocrat didn't own horses.:: "Lead the way."

Seer gave a nod and then headed to the Stables, keeping her hand in his, passing a small field on the way. Soon, they were standing in front of a stable, "Well, here it is." She said with a small smile and then she frowned as she heard some of the horses start to neigh. She gave a small shudder, she wasn't one for horses.

::Douglas studied the stables; they were fairly ordinary, compared with the mansion itself. She shuddered when one of the horses neighed, evidently not comfortable with them.:: "Is it their size or the shape of their faces?"

Seer gave a small nod, "So...Where are you from?" She asked as they started walking away from the stables and through the small field, a couple trees here and there.

"I like it well enough. To be honest, you're the only person I've spoken to besides Mystique and your leader," ::Douglas sensed mutations around him, but hadn't had the opportunity to speak to any of the mutants who possessed them. Apart from that, he had scouted the mansion, committing rooms to memory, and now the grounds with her.::

Seer grinned, "Well, I've yet to meet Mystique...And I'd hardly call the Professor my leader, he's more of a...I don't know... very good friend." She said smiling remembering what he was going to be doing for her and Sylar. "But, I guess you could say he is my leader, as well." She told him. She was no longer with the Brotherhood and Rogue was no longer her leader.

"Whatever you call him, they're the only two that I've met, aside from you, of course," ::Douglas said, paying careful attention to her choice of words. Either she was wavering between allegiances, or she had nothing but her own survival instincts. Both of which were understandable.::

Seer nodded, "Yes, we do. But, sometimes dreams and thoughts about such a society have to be put aside for more important things." She told him, the thought of her son playing around in her mind.

::Douglas regarded her carefully. She obviously has something particular in mind, most likely related to whatever news she had received and moving out. Family, her own family, not her parents.
