::The disclosure to the X-Men had gone about as expected, although Ororo's reaction had been particularly hurtful. Although on some level, it made Xavier reluctant to have this conversation with the twins, he knew that it was imperative. They deserved to know, and if he didnt tell them, Ororo would.
He had asked them to meet him outside, where the weather was, through some miracle, still pleasant. The potential for Wanda to hurt something was lessed in the open air, and it would give Pietro room to react as well.::

Wanda and Pietro walked through the gardens, enjoying the sunlight. It was such a beautiful day, and they were enjoying it together. Uncle had asked to meet them on the grounds earlier that day, and they both assumed it was to talk about the attack, and possible upgrades in security or somesuch.
Spotting him not too far off, in the shade, they headed over. "You asked to see us, Uncle?" she asked, as she took a seat on the bench close to where Uncle sat.

"Yes, I have someting important to discuss with you," ::Xavier said, trying to keep his voice light, although he knew what their reactions would be. The magnitude might be worse than he thought, but they wouldn't welcome he news with open arms.::

"Go on..." she said, frowning, after sharing a questioning look with her brother.

::Xavier knew better than to warn the twins to remain calm. That would be lost as soon as he made the revelation. Instead, he took a deep, calming breath, met their eyes as he spoke.:: "I wanted to tell both of you before I told the students. I proposed to Raven, and she accepted."

::Pietro had often heard events described as being in slow motion. His speed made almost everything seem slow, but his earliest memories kept everything balanced. He knew what "normal" speed was. This news hit him in slow motion. He sat beside his sister, patiently waiting for Uncle's news. Then Uncle spoke, but the words took ages to reach his ears. His mind took even longer to process it.
What wasn't slow, and had never been, was his temper. Pietro's expression was one of horrified disbelief, as he nearly growled his question.:: "You what?"
Posted by Wanda Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 1:02am
Wanda stared at him, hoping if she focused long enough, the next words out of his mouth would disprove what he'd just uttered. "Tell me you're joking," she said, eyes darkening.
Posted by The Man on Jun 13, 2007, 1:17am
::At the moment, Xavier considered himself fortunate. These were fairly mild immediate reactions. He knew, however, that soon enough, both twins would erupt in rage, using their abilities to cause damage.
Calm was necessary, and thus he embodied it. Keeping his voice light, as though speaking about the weather. Which, with Ororo's anger, could turn dark at any moment.:: "I wouldn't joke about a matter this serious."

Like a summer storm, Wanda's brewing anger erupted. "Has your sanity gone completely?!" She cried, standing up suddenly, hands clenched in glowing fists. "This is exactly what that snake's been waiting for!"
She would have control, and a more secure hold on the mansion and everyone in it. She would not allow this.

::In a blink of an eye, Pietro was on his feet. Hands clenchd tightly into fists, held at his sides only by what little control of his temper he had. In the aftermath of nearly dying, of the entire mansion almost collapsing, Uncle had called them out, to ruin a rare pleasant day, by telling them this?
Wanda had beaten him to the question. The other man had to have taken complete leave of his senses. Even if the shape-shifter did have feelings for Uncle, which Pietro regarded as a rather large "if," it didn't negate the possibility of a double-cross. The minute Magneto returned, she could poison him and run back to the terrorist with all of Uncle's money and a child to corrupt.
Instantly, he regretted saving her. He didn't regret pouding that other speedster into the ground, or the help that Wanda had given against those other attackers. But saving her, just to further destroy everything Uncle had built from the inside...they should have let her be taken. And they shouldn't have covered for her, for the life she had taken that day.
His body began to vibrate, the angry need to run coursing through him. Yet, he remained where he was, not willing to run away from the discussion. Through clenched teeth, he hissed to the other man.:: "She's a murderer, a terrorist, and a spy!"
Posted by The Man on Jun 13, 2007, 7:07pm
::Xavier suppressed a sigh, unwilling to show regret, for this was a joyous announcement. The twins were reacting as he had expected, with anger, resentment, fear, and suspicion.:: "She has reformed; I've told you. She presents no danger, and she makes me happy."
Posted by Wanda Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 7:16pm
"Makes you happy?!" She half-shrieked. "So that's all it takes for you to hand over access to everything? Pleasure?" She couldn't believe this; it was beyond horrible. How could he do this? Her hands, clenched, and the bench behind her crumpled in on itself, as if it were being molded by giant hands. When she was done, it was wrinkled up like a paper ball.
Posted by The Man on Jun 13, 2007, 7:18pm
::Xavier watched as the bench beside him became crumpled, Wanda's powers taking control of her. It was time to try another tactic, perhaps appealing to their European old-world sensibilities.:: "Would you wish for the child to be born outside of wedlock and suffer that stigma?"
Posted by Pietro Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 7:21pm
"We would prefer the b*st*rd not be born at all," ::Pietro snapped. Whatever hold he had on his anger had been lost with Uncle's last two comments. His body vibrated so quickly that he was nothing more than a white blur.::
Posted by Wanda Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 7:23pm
"For all you know, she's saying it's yours, and allowing you to protect her," she spat. "What will you do when the child has white hair, hmm?" When would he admit his mistake? How dare he allow the demon into his life.
Posted by The Man on Jun 13, 2007, 7:32pm
"He, or she, will not have white hair," ::Xavier said patiently, although he was concerned by their reactions. Unbridled, their combined anger could do considerable damage to the Institute, and everyone inside.::
Posted by Wanda Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 7:38pm
"Are you sure about that?" She asked darkly, fists clenched so tightly that one of the nails had punctured the skin on her hand. With a jerk of her head, a tree to the side of them wrenched itself out of the ground, before splintering down to nothing but sawdust. "All you have is her word, and that's not good for much, especially because she's a murderess and a liar. She's sucking you into her lie, and you'll be the one to pay for it!"
Posted by The Man on Jun 13, 2007, 7:48pm
"Then, please, allow me to pay for it," ::Xavier said, with a calm, imploring look. He trusted Raven. If the twins did not, then at least they could allow him to suffer the perceived mistake on his own.::

"Deal with it yourself, Uncle. I'm gone," ::Pietro said, through his clenched teeth. He vibrate so quickly that he heard a high-pitched whine in his ears. He felt as though if he didn't move, he would explode form the pent up rage and energy. He glanced briefly at Wanda; his sister understood, would understand.
In the blink of an eye, he was gone.
Finally letting loose, he began to run from the grounds, through the gate, down the streets. Leaving Salem, leaving Westchester. He pushed his limits, running as fast as he could for as long as he could. Trying to clear his mind until nothing existed but his speed.::
Posted by Wanda Maximoff on Jun 13, 2007, 11:55pm
She looked in the direction Pietro had gone, leaves and debris rising in his wake. That didn't stop her anger, but her brother, her fuel, was gone. It could only die out, for the moment, anyway.
"You may want us to watch you as you suffer for your mistakes, but we won't. If he returns, and there is a shift in loyalties, I do not care if she's pregnant or not." She wouldn't stand for it. Turning quickly on her heel, she strode off towards the mansion, fury still in her features. To further compliment her anger, the window shutters on the nearest windows flew off their hinges, crashing around the grounds.
She would continue to fume about this until Pietro got back, and then they would most likely either discuss the issue and what to do, or artfully avoid the subject and brood silently together. Who knew when Pietro would get back? The last time he'd been so furious, he'd left the country and hadn't returned for nearly a week, travelling the continent itself in his anger.

::Xavier remained on the grounds, long after both his neice and nephew departed. Where Pietro had run, the ground was torn up, brown. The shutters of the mansion nearest Wanda's entrance lay in ruins. He had expected protest, but not such a violent one.
And Scott, Ororo, and Logan's reactions weighed heavily upon him. The sky darkened, and thunder began to cackle. Ororo's anger had finally manifested itself. As the rain began to fall, he wheeled inside, towards his quarters. He had a decision to make, and either way, pain would result.::
