Ethan wheeled Mystique outside on the med lab bed. She couldn't believe he was doing this for her. She couldn't believe she was outside at all; when she was told she'd be on her back for a week, she expected nothing but reading in the basement on her back.
"Thank you for doing this for me," she said, smiling up at him. "I can't believe I was missing such a nice day." They stopped outside by the gardens; they were in full bloom and beautiful.

Ethan pushed the bed into the garden, slowly so that she could see everything clearly. It was too nice a day for her to be stuck in the basement. And he was happy to help her out. Ethan really liked her, and she was so nice.
He stopped the bed where she could get a full view. He fished his pen and pad out of his jeans and began scribbling a note.
I'm happy I could help. The flowers are really pretty, aren't they?

She smiled, and looked at the flowers. "I never used to like flowers, but they really are pretty. And these ones smell nice," she said, reaching out and brushing the flowers with her fingertips.

They did smell nice. Ethan didn't know much about flowers, but whatever these were they were nice. He reached out and picked one for her.

"Why thank you," she said, accepting it. She held it to her nose and took in it's pretty scent. She sighed happily, and looked around. "It's such a nice day."

It was a really nice day. Ethan was happy that she wasn't cooped up inside. And he was happy to have helped her out.
He scribbled another note for her.
It really is. The weather's nice here.

She grinned. "I think part of that is due to the fact that we have a weather manipulator here. You should have seen when she was angry with me, she made it thunderstorm here for a full week."

::Xavier had been outside on the grounds, surveying the damage that had been done by the attack. As he wheeled into the gardens, he saw the young man Ethan...along with Raven, on a bed. Hank had assured him that she was to remain in the medical laboratory for the week. His brow creased as he wheeled over towards them.:: "Would you care to explain why you're outside?"

"Hello," she said, turning to look at Charles. He was coming over to them, and looked very concerned. "Hank will be up soon, he suggested I get some sunlight."

"He suggested you were to be wheeled outside on this bed, escorted by a student?" ::Xavier asked, his eyes narrowing incredulously. Although he trusted Hank, he also knew that the students and Raven had a tendency to interpret what was said to them in a way that would allow them to do as they wished. He would not allow her to compromise her health or that of the child's simply to get sunlight.::

"He helped set it up, gave me to Ethan, and said he would be up to bring me back downstairs," she explained. She looked up at Ethan, who was nodding. "He said he wanted to make it a daily thing, as this thing won't tip like a stretcher might."

::Hank peeked around a hedge.::
"As long as you stick to the paths. I'm not that far away. I left you an invitation, don't you have your cell phone on you?"

"In my office," ::Xavier replied, turning his head towards Hank's voice. The other man hid behind a bush, a habit he had developed as a student when he feared a lecture. Apparently, he had never outgrown it.::

"He helped get me up here, and said he'd be keeping watch, Charles," she said, looking to him and trying to give her best encouraging smile.

"An hour of sun a day, or more if the weather holds. "
Posted by The Man on May 8, 2007, 11:32am
"Simply be careful," ::Xavier said, relenting. If Hank thought it was in her best interest, he woudn't argue. Still, he wanted her to be watched closely. Her health shouldn't be risked for an hour of sunlight.::
