Strype stepped outside, quickly checking if anyone was following her. When she neither saw nor smelled another presence, she hurried into the cover of trees. The smells were ripe tonight, animals nearby. The inner beast nearly drooled. She shivered. Not yet...
Stripping off her shoes, she reveled in the feeling of the moist earth beneath her bare feet. Her clothes weren't a problem, they always sank back into her skin. Kneeling on the grass, she felt the crunch as her spine snapped, to be reshaped seconds later. It was a delicious pain, and she let it known with a guttural moan, which deepened as her vocal cords adjusted. Her hind legs shortened, paws forming, with large dagger-like claws springing forth. A tail emerged as her hair shrunk, and stripes covered her lengthening jaw. With a roar, she took off, into the forest, sniffing out a young healthy buck.

::Xavier had been sitting by the window, sipping his coffee, when he saw a beast run from the grounds into the woods. It looked like a large cat, or possibly a wolf. Either way, it was probably a student. He sighed softly and debated going after him or her to prevent a possible disaster.::

Having snagged a lagging doe, she dragged her kill to the edge of the forest. A sound made her look up, wary. Was someone there? After looking around for a few moments, yellow eyes shining in the dark, she focused her attention once more on the doe.

He wouldn't intrude, but he had to make certain that it was simply a transformation, a need for freedom. Once he was reassured, he could return to the mansion and stay out of his or her business.::

A patch of cloud shifted, exposing the two of them to a sliver of moonlight. She stood up, licking her snout clean of blood. She growled again as the person came nearer, and she stepped forward, defending her kill, still lying beside her, though partly devoured.

She continued forward, even as she noticed he was backing away. Dimly, she heard something in the back of her mind, like an alarm going off, but it was so muted she paid it no heed. All she cared about now was the person in front of her. She was a devil in the night, claws unsheathing silently.

Typhoid hadn't paid much attention to the ruckus in the woods while on one of her semi-nightly strolls courtesy of insomnia. It sounded like an animal to her, and her power registered that as well, so she just shrugged and went back to busting a few rocks. It was when she felt the distinct presence of a person that she chose to see what the problem was. Loud noises of what was clearly a fight attracted her attention, and then a large long growl. She moved out from behind the trees to find the Professor, his back to her, facing down a tiger. Sh*t.
Has to be Strype, she thought, and then remembered the Professor would probably have registered that thought the second it was formed, and knew she was there. She crept closer, whispering. "Professor?"
Posted by Strype on Feb 13, 2007, 2:10pm
Turning her head slightly, she noticed another person approaching. Her eyes narrowed in anger. Furious, she let off a full blown roar, pouncing to attack.
Posted by Typhoid Mary on Feb 13, 2007, 2:17pm
Oh sh*t. Typhoid sank into a crouch, ready to run except for the Professor sitting there. She couldn't stop Strype physically with her power- killing a friend was not exactly the best thing to do. But maybe...
They didn't call her Typhoid for nothing. She could kill...or she could merely sicken.
Belatedly dropping her crouched stance, Typhoid put her fingers to her lips and blew Strype a kiss, sending a small amount of her power with it, towards Strype's muzzle and eyes.

Dia had been meandering around, as she often did when she couldn't sleep, and spotted the odd gathering from a window. When she made it outside, she saw Typhoid blow a kiss in the direction of...a Tiger?
"Oh My God." She breathed, stepping out onto the lawn.
Posted by Strype on Feb 13, 2007, 2:27pm
She roared, claws sheathing themselves involuntarily as something hit her full on in the face. Her nose was burning, eyes were on fire and her vision was red. Howling with rage, she ran forward, losing momentum and headbutted the person crouching low.

Typhoid was thrown back, the wind knocked out of her and her head throbbing, but she watched Strype carefully. The tiger had lost speed, otherwise she would have been torn up by claws, not headbutted. She didn't want to make the girl sicker, but it was better then getting killed. She directed a blast of breath at Strype, again sending a small amount of power with it. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Dia.
"Dia! Do. Not. Move."
