Erik took a few steps away from the tree in pensieve thought. His survival insticts told him something was wrong in the vicinity. If only Charles were here.

Shade spun around to find the man had gotten to his feet. For a moment she was at a loss what to do. Run? Maybe the best choice as her opposit was surely around his mid sixties. She might outrun him easily. She slowly got to her feet again, her eyes darting from the stranger to the school. Running meant running again, she considered. Finally she made up her mind. She would come back later, by night, when she would have silence and noone around to see her... no, to sense her. She slowly walked past the man over to the iron gate.

Erik jumped at the muffled sound of footsteps and there - he had it - tiny nickel caps around the holes of shoelaces. There was most certainly someone walking the grounds unseen. With cautious steps he followed the scent of the scraps of metal and found himself heading for the gates.
"I know you're there, whoever you are."

When she heard the voice behind her, already half way to the gate, to safety, Shade´s heart made a painful jump. How was that possible? Had her footsteps been audible? But on grass? She knew how to tread without a sound. She turned around.

'Eric? What is it?'

Erik felt the metal shift, then stop.
Ignoring Rogue for the moment he began to speak. "If you're a student then you're in no trouble. Term hasn't even begun. If not..." Erik placed a careful smirk on his lips. "I'd like to meet you anyway."
A talent for invisibilty could prove useful to his cause.

Now the young woman had gotten up, too. Two against one, Shade mused sarcastically. Still, she did not run. She wanted to, but didn´t.
"No, I´m... I´m no student, I just..."
She slowly loosed her grip on her invisibility and appeared.

The girl appeared before him about a foot to the left of his gaze. He sighed a little udner his breath, deciding he needed to work on sensing the distance of metals a little more.
Erik gave a small bow, looking to Rogue for any sign of an expression.
"You're tresspassing." He stated it plainly, but there was clear amusement in his voice. "And very excellently."

::Much like the Mighty Thor, Charles Xavier had a talent for arriving when his name was mentioned. His chair appeared silently behind Erik, watching the interaction with the newly appeared young woman:: "Is there something we can do to help you, Miss?"

The reaction of the man the young woman had called Erik made Shade scowl in slight confusion. Did he mean that as a compliment or was he just being sarcastic? She knew it wasn´t fair to sneak around like this, only this was what she had grown used to do. She had expected a rebuke from the stranger. She had sneaked onto the schoolgrounds after all.
"I didn´t mean to sneak in here." she said, her voice quivering slightly her eyes darting here and there, realizing that another person had entered. A man with a wheelchair. The young woman said nothing.

Then her attention was forced back on the eldery man before her. Although she had the feeling there was something demanding about him, his voice again had some soothing effect on her.
"I don´t really know." she said being a little taken aback. "But someone to talk to would be nice. I´m a little tired and...I don´t even know why I came here but I heard this place was safe for mutants. Can I stay?"
