"Oh, no," Gambit made an objecting gesture with his hand, "I b'lieve ya 'bout de heart t'ing. Still, ye're lyin' 'bout de no power t'ing. Comin' to me t' ask me 'bout money and lyin'?" he raised his brows and tilted his head in a disapproving expression.

Morph glared at Gambit for a few moments. He had heard Gambit was difficult to bargain with, but had never experienced it until now. Lightheaded and unskilled as Kevin usually was about long-term planning and strategies, at this moment he could think straight enough to realize that further pretense would get him nowhere if he wanted to get something from the Cajun. It seemed wiser to give in and play by the other man's rules. "Fine," he said and morphed back into himself, wearing the same clothes Gambit had on at the moment. "Satisfied now?"

Brady had been looking between the two, curiously, wondering how things were going to play out and then she grinned as Kevin morphed back into himself.

"Very," Gambit smirked.
So, a metamorph... That could actually be worth twenty thousand bucks. He studied the guy for a few long seconds, then nodded. "Tell ya what, mon cher... De money's yours... if ya do me a favor in a few weeks' time."

Kevin stared at him, a bit taken aback. It seemed too easy. He narrowed his eyes. "What kind of a favor?" he asked.

Brady's grin slowly faded as she looked to Gambit, "Yeah, what kind of favor?" She asked.

Gambit winked. "Depends," he said. "Ain't decided yet."

Morph took a deep breath, considering. He was familiar with that kind of offers - Sinister's habit, selling a pig in a poke. He had also seen what it could do to people who agreed to it.
"Fine," he said, hoping he could later wind his way out of it if the other end of the bargain seemed to be too much. "Wait, am I selling myself here?"

Brady couldn't help the laugh that escaped her, "Sorry..." She said trying to compose herself and took a drink from her water.

"Why yes, mon cher, you are," Gambit replied, accompanying his words with a lecherous smile. "Been doin' so since de moment ya walked into dat door t' ask Gambit f'r some cash. Y'ain't gonna faint on me now, non?"

Morph glanced at Brady - totally no support from her! - and back at Gambit. He couldn't find anything smart to say - Gambit clearly had the upper hand in the exchange. "Whatever mochas your latte, Gambit," he replied, trying to keep a calm face. "How do we get the money?"

Seeing Kevin's glance, Brady brought her hand to the back of his neck, her finger gently tracing small circles over the skin and she gave him a caring, loving look, looking back to Gambit she sighed softly waiting for his answer before she'd speak.

Gambit placed a piece of paper and a pen on the counter. "Your phone number, an' we'll arrange stuff later," he said.

Throwing the man another glance, Morph wrote his name and number on the paper. He felt weird after all this exchange, but it had been his own decision to acquiesce and play by Gambit's rules, so there was no room for backing out now.

"So, it's settled?" Brady asked looking between the two.
