"How can I prove it?" Gambit asked, braving her look.

He was cheeky enough to dare and stand her gaze. It annoyed her and also reminded the evil creature of the fact that she was just toying with Gambit now, which had seemingly lulled him into a sense of false security. She had not thought further yet and his words partly made that clear to her which she didn´t like. However, she thought, tossing a glance around the room which was still every bit as much twilight as before, whyever should she be content with staying here and pushing him around when there was a whole city to explore and fledge her powers and evilness on? Or even more?
"Go find me some boots." she growled at him, giving the chain around his neck another unnecessary tug to animate him. "I want to have a little fun outside here and you sure wouldn´t want me to do that with my feet getting cold, now would you?." Her words were dripping with sarcasm, almost sweet sounding, her eyes contradicting that strongly. She wanted boots because that meant she could command him around, it also meant that the playful part of her, the only part of old Shade that the dark creature admitted, wanted things to match the occasion. Boots were more fitting than sneakers.

Gambit was prepared for that. Just as he had brought the sexy chemise she was now wearing, he had - just in case - added a pair of black boots to match it, since he hadn't been sure whether he wouldn't have wanted to have some fun with her in her outfit before the ritual.
He searched through his bag and produced the boots, bringing them over to her. "Want me t' put them on ya?" he asked, in a rather familiar way, since she didn't establish any forms of addresses, and it was fine with him.

Shade watched him, her expression changing from grim triumph to slight annoyace. He was obedient as he ought to if he knew what was good for him, but she didn´t like the way his voice sounded. It was too casual for her taste and she started to wonder whether Gambit was aware of the danger he was in when falling into the illusion that she was not going to do him harm.
Narrowing her eyes at him slightly, she tightened the chain around his neck, not enough to do serious harm, but it would choke him for a moment and clearly tell that she was serious. "Do." she said in a menacingly low voice, sitting down on the edge of the stage, her wings spread wide now to test their wing span. "and watch your tone."

Gambit gave a gagging sound for a second as his chain leash tightened on his neck; it seemed he had to learn the unspoken rules the hard way, and learn them fast.
He cast his eyes down immediately, showing he understood his mistake, and knelt down in front of her, carefully taking Shade's foot in his hands and putting the boot on her. Then he repeated the same with the other foot.

Shade was pleased and smirked darkly, both at his obedience and at his choking. Looked like Gambit was learning. She got to her feet again and touched his chin when she walked past, a firm touch lingering for a second or two, the mock of a carress and a sign that she approved of his submissiveness.
One of the torches had gone out already and she ripped its metal holder off the wall, letting the extinguished torch clatter to the ground. For no apparent reason, just to test out her strengths. Then her eyes strayed towards the door. It had metal hinges and she ripped them out plainly, making the door go to the ground with some noise. "What do you think?" she asked with a smirk, walking towards the door and dragging Gambit after her by the chain. "where to start? Scare the guests of your pretty little club? Temper with the brains of your staff?" It was clear from her voice that she did not care in the least what he thought although she asked for it. It was another way to demonstrate her power as she walked out of the room, the boots echoing clearly on the tiles, her wings half folded on her back.

Gambit struggled to keep up, hurrying after her when she walked on with such determined stride, pulling him by the chain after her. His thoughts were racing; subservient as he was, he couldn't help but get shocked at the idea of what would happen to his authority in the Club, were he to be dragged out there on a leash. But her tone clearly showed him there were to be no objections - or if there were, at a dear cost to him, then. He quickly weighed the choice - the Club against his life. His life immediately won, of course.
"What would pleasure you the most?" he merely asked, following her.

She chuckled as she walked on, somewhat amused about his choice of words which showed he was trying to be as obedient as possible, most likely to keep risks for his own frail little life at a minimum. "I don´t know." she said, grinning madly as she kept her eyes to the front. They were reaching the stairs now and she knew he was right behind her, he had no choice anyways with the chain around his neck. "I´ll have to experiment."
Bursting open the door to the club the same way she had done with the door of the secret room, Shade entered the familiar areas of the Hellfire club. The place was not too crowded but had quite some guests there, many of which just stared when she appeared. She did notwait for ther reactions but grabbed a shot glass from a bystander, a red-haired mutant around his early twens, took a gulp from whatever he was drinking, then charged the glass and tossed it into the air, letting it explode. "Now I see how that´s fun." she shouted over the erupting screams, turing to face Gambit as she walked on, curious to see his reaction.

Gambit just shut his eyes at seeing what was happening. He wasn't there. It wasn't him.

Shade turned towards him, wings against her back. Around her, people were starting to back away from her, some running to the exit. She did not heed them. Instead, she walked towards Gambit, slowly. Her strud did not look as menacingly threatening as it had a moment ago, but was self confident. Wearing the boots, she was as tall as him. She reached him and touched his chin with a hand, a thumb against his stubble. It was a gesture her demonic self used, having stolen it from her old, overlayered affectionate self. It was almost a loving gesture.
"Do I scare you?" she asked, no concern in her voice, just curiosity about his answer. She knew she had power over him by now, it had been established, the dark creature had toyed with him. Now it was curious in another way, not really caring about Gambit´s fears, but asking nontheless.

Gambit's eyes flew open as he responded to her touch and look. "Obviously," he replied, trying not to pay attention to what was happening in the Club around him. Worst of all, he saw his bouncers heading towards them, since the destructive use of powers was prohibited in the Club, and they were obviously going to throw Shade out, and he really didn't want to see what she would do to them. They were resourceful, but so was Shade.

She kept her hold on his chin, her gaze fixed on him. "Shade would never have done this." she said, her voice so low that only he could hear it. "but Shade is not here. Or rather, not much of her. See what you made of her." The dark creature she had become through the ritual noticed that the old Shade was not dead. She had been reduced to something meaninglessly small in her mind, so small that it did not show effect in her actions or words, but sometimes tried to struggle against the evilness of her mind without avail, seconds where she mentally tried to scream at him and reach out only to be suppressed by the evilness at once.
She sensed the bouncers, two of them, with her telepathy and whirled around. One of them got knocked over by a bar chair with brutal force that did not kill him but knocked him out immidiately, the massive, muscular body crashing to the floor with a dull thud, causing more guests to run screaming. The other tried to use his powers on her, telekinesis, but she reached for his mind instantly, making him confused and hesistant before she strud past him and knocked him off his feet with a massive blow of her wings. Flapping them once more, she was up on the bar counter, raising her eyes up to see whether there was anyone at the ballstrade above who could pose a threat. She chuckled.

More security people ran from various parts of the Club - all with various powers, even with powers to oppose all kinds of powers, and some of the patrons joined in, too, most of them happy to participate in a brawl - at the Hellfire, finally, woo!
Gambit just waited. He knew the Club would defend itself, that way or another, even against someone as powerful as Shade was at the moment.

The situation got heated and Shade found herself get anxious. The creature within growled, sensing potential victims around but also danger. She used her magnetism to send four mutants running towards her flying by getting a mental grip on metal parts of their clothing, shoes and belts, making them knock over one of the securities as well. Flapping her wings, she leapt up into the air, seizing another few small metal objects, coins as she found, drawn from some patron´s pockets and charged them, sending them int different directions to confuse the attackers.
She noticed Gambit was not doing anything and even from up there, hovering in the air and beating her wings powerfully to keep balance, this annoyed her. She concentrated on the chain around his neck again, tugged on it and made him stumble a little.

Gambit stumbled, tripping, and hanged on the chain that was holding him firmly by the neck. Light darkened for him as he felt air being cut off for him, and gripped the chain in a futile attempt to get rid of the loop or ease the tug, but it was to no avail.
The security people - those that didn't get caught in the first attack from Shade - as well as several of the patrons - threw every power they had at her, not knowing what would knock her down.
